FM/PM seems to appear on many top 3 wishlists. Why do you want that so much? I mean there are many VSTIs that do that so in fact it's easily usable already in MuLab/MUX, right? So why do you guys put that in your top 3? Aren't there other more workflow-related wishes that are more important for you and which are not solvable using a 3rd party tool?
Pls don't interprete my question as me being rejective against FM/PM, certainly not, it's just for proper analysis of what's needed most.
What is by far less crowded is the granular sector...
From the view of newer products, Padshop is miles ahead of the other available options, to create really dense pads and atmos...
I tested Alchemy (no, no, no), Absynth (no, no, no,no) many Reaktor ensembles (the most have such a bad GUI, that I didn't manage to get a sound out of them), Granite (not bad, but more for experimantal stuff) and I do have Grain (for me, the closest to Padshop and Ableton/M4L Granulator, but it perhaps reaches 40-50% of the 2 "major ones"...
So far, Padshop is the only "native" instrument covering this sector very well, but Syncrosoft????
- MUX VST only: Ability to drag n drop midi files into the Sequence Player and perhaps drag n drop of sequences into the arrangement of the used host would be my number one!!!!
- MUX reports "outgoing latency" to the host!!!
In general:
- PDC (this is by far my biggest wish to MuLab)
- my second wish (perhaps more important than PDC for me):
Ghost events... able to see notes of another selected sequence in the same editor
(without having the ability to edit them... just want to see them... for me, a great help to work on a melody to fit a chord structure... I am no musician, so this would be a big help!!!)
- Multiselection of Modules with functions of: moving, copying (without cables) and deleting...
