It has been awhile since i used Mulab and I noticed with the latest demo, when I choose the target module, I can only assign one module to the track. IIRC, MULAB used to have the ability to assign multiple modules to each track, is this still possible?
Ask not what your DAW can do for you, but what you can do with your DAW

Tracks have only ever had one target. You may be thinking of setting the target per part within the track. I'm not sure this is still available (I thought it was but I don't see it now I look).

I'm unsure by what is meant by "target per part within a track" but it may have been what I was thinking of.
Basically it was a nice feature that allowed one to overcome the 4 track limit in the free version.

There is another way to overcome the 4 track limit in the free version: Buy a MuLab 5 XT or UL user key in the MuTools shop. And that way you also support the further development of MuLab & the MUX!

No, the target-per-part feature has gone some versions ago because the complications it caused were not compensating the win. And most musicians seem to work track-based.

Note that there stil is a way to do multiple sounds per track: Using different MIDI channels per track/part. (in MuLab UL, else you're crossing the demo bounds so you'll get a soft noise)

Im unsure if you are aware but making these kinds of posts makes you come across as a smart ass. It may not be your incentive but it does come across that way to me (and possibly others too). Your comment fails to answer or explain my initial question. If you want people to support Mulab, start implementing what they want. You can start with These Feature Requests. 8)

Ok buddy,

1. If you're going to insult a developer, you don't make demands. That makes you looks needy and stupid.

2. While I agree that his answer was a bit over the top, he isn't asking much. If you were one person developing a professional studio would you really want to allow everyone to have a work around? He needs to get money somehow. Without money he cannot continue development or research.

3. When you point Jo to YOUR feature requests only, it makes you seem really selfish. Now, I don't know about Jo, but I really don't like selfish people. All FR's are treated equally. Requesting your FR's is a bad move. Especially when you are telling a developer he is wrong in his approach.

4. If you don't think Mulab is going where you think it should go then go find another DAW that is going where you think it needs to go. This is NOT your custom DAW. This is for everyone who find this software suitable for their work and creativity. I'm sure Jo does not mind a feature request, but telling him he's wrong for not adding it, is wrong in itself.

5. There is a way to work around the 4 track limit but I'm pretty intent on not telling you now. If you want more than 4 tracks, buy Mulab. I bought Mulab and I haven't even thought about replacing it once.

Thank you for your time,

I apologize if my reply didn't sound ok, that was not my intention. My intention simply was to highlight a possible solution, which could be good for you and me, a win-win. I'm working hard on the future of MuLab and MUX, please understand that R&D takes time and money, so also sales are a vital thing.

About feature requests: Please read this info.

Thanks.

Hey, I kinda agree with mutools--sooner or later it's time to ante-up. However, I just began the free version and have been really impressed--especially by instrument sounds--until I had a crash and can't reopen that session without the error saying something about a thread--needs cntrl/alt/delete to break free. Not sure yet if a blank session Mu will open, but I'm glad a have the free version and haven't yet paid for anything before I sort this out.

Hi Jo, thank you for apologizing and clarifying. I was unsure of how to read it so I apologize as well for being out of line and calling you a smart ass.
As for my reply to make my feature requests a priority, I was making a smart ass remark myself-sarcasm-so please do not take me serious on that note.

On a lighter note, I'm on my third day of checking out the latest on Mulab and it's starting to "click". I'm an Ableton user so i just check out other DAWs here and there to see what the workflow and features are like. If I see something I like, i'll throw in my 2 cents with FRs. The sound quality of your synth(s) alone is worth a license.
I need a bit of time though since work is REALLY slow. For the meantime i'll keep utilizing it to get more familiar with it's deeper features (MUX).
