You need a color manager...

I love Meldaplugs because of all these features and the possibility to "modulate the modulator", but they always look like a scientific program of an university, I cannot get warm with the GUIs... :|

Well, they will always be deep, but hopefully the new styles will make it "warmer" ;)

No matter if with or without borders, IMO there are still too many controls on the front page. What about more tabs or windows that can be switched on and off, for example the frame with the waveform in a separate window?

You would really like that? I mean that's the first thing one looks at - the waveform. Right now, everything that could be hidden is hidden. For the examples I chose the chorus, which is probably the most "full of parameters", but still...

I'm not a fan of tendosynovitis (Tendovaginitis?), so to speak.

One-page-access has a reason. ;)

Huh? What the hell is "tendosynovitis"? :D

Anyway I'm personally the fan of one-page-access too. Tabs have always scared me. Sometimes, like in modulators, there's no other way, but when possible, let's show everything. Just make it easy to navigate.

I'm a fan of separatovitis because if there are so many controls, I feel absolutely overwhelmed and loose control over my music... :help:

So I prefer something like this with only a few knobs where you can go deeper by choosing the EDIT tab:

Agree about the framed boxes - waay too distracting when they're close together versus just plain annoying when there's so many on screen. Also agree about the spacing.

Question: Is the important info the info in the box or the box frame containing the info?

Agree, but it often feels like borders help with the panels. But I like the borderless stuff from ellasi! So let's try it ;).

There's also one more thing - CPU requirements, it is always faster to just paint borders than alphablending the whole region.

There's already a reduced "Front tab" in MPlugins. :)

Ah...you used the term 'Navigate' - but, isn't the issue 'Operate' - Agree with TrickyL - seeing all parameters at once doesn't help with operating when one has to navigate the feeling of being overwhelmed.

Your plugins are awesome. Maybe because they're complex. But isn't the point of an efficient GUI to minimize the complexity? Maybe a solution is to have a switchable interface as seen in the Klanghelm plugins - Simple interface for the 'normal user' and a complex 'tweak freak' all-the-parameters-all-the-time one for the nerds. :D

That's my simplistic minimal input. Hope it helps.

Sure, but it's still very busy and complex for some (many). Not saying there only needs to be a one-button preset interface, but, there is more visual clutter than required, IMO.
