The major difference is the virus fades and pans the oscillator unison left/right/left/right as you adjust the knob. The number of unison can be adjusted with the "saws" knob, but this isn't saved in presets in version 7.
The virus I believe has a completely stereo signal path and allows you to route channels to multiple filters and so on.
So, quite a bit different. The next version, 8, which is currently still alpha can do stereo voice unison and if you combine that with oscillator unison will give you a full stereo result, just like the virus. It still can't do the fading/panning as you adjust the knob though.
