I have it, though not installed on this computer. I really like the dev, but I find it less than intuitive. I need to reinstall it.billcarroll wrote:What did you think of LiquidSonics' Reverberate?hibidy wrote:
Sorry for the rebump but I have to ask about the waves IR 1 on sale. It seems to work fine but is really limited with IR'S and it's a PITA to load stuff like the britcasti (no drag and drop) I'm getting the feeling that it's "ok" but still not worth the coin (unless I'm missing something)
Also, I don't know why I couldn't use the M4L convo but seems to work fine now and is probably the nice free/easy solution![]()

I love the hofa, but with the minor dropout issue on really long ir's, I can't justify that price.
Best reverb, for all jobs? (ongoing process)

Oh.......haha, I didn't know. Er.......yeah, hibidy, slow on the uptake. Wow, and that integrates with IR 1?Eddie TX wrote:I think it's a decent convo verb, and Waves has an extensive library of IRs you can download. Whether you'd like IR-1 more than another option like Reflektor is another question. You're probably demoing it already though, right?![]()
Cheers,
Eddie
@reflektor: Always annoying to work with in GR. Nothing wrong with it. But I don't see to get the spaces I want. I thought maybe it was just because of the difficult gain staging in GR.
@M4L convo........: crashed again

new smooth plate algorithm in VVV is just incredible, really, the best reverb algorithm i've ever heard.

@waves IR 1: Nice reverb so far. Thanks to eddie for mentioning the IR's. That helps a lot.
Still though, nothing is the hofa. I tried to get it in the marketplace with a no-go. It's just too much. If push comes to shove, I'd rather get the IR 1 at 85ish bucks and work with that. If there wouldn't have been a glitch with longer IR's, then I'd just shell and be done with it.
AGAIN, I'm embarrassed that I didn't understand how good the LIVE convo verb is, but the damn thing has crashed on my 3 times today (welcome to the wonderful world of M4L)
Otherwise, I'd be over it. The waves has been terrific with longer impulses (for ambient stuff) and hasn't given me ANY grief. Leaning......

Sorry, very late to this: we're offering all Acon Digital for 30% off for the next 2 weeks, including Verberate for $69:V0RT3X wrote:Next up IMO would be Acon Digital Verberate for $100. The audio demos I've heard from this are very realistic.

Not really, since I've been making electronic music since 1992, and have tried most of the big hardware verbs. Just stating an opinion, which is like an arse hole, everybody has one. In my opinion, the new smooth plate algorithm in VVV is the best reverb algorithm I've ever heard. Of course it's not gonna work on everything, but it's smooth like butter. Why do you have a problem with that?HcDoom wrote:Uh, how I love initial hypes...Hermetech Mastering wrote:new smooth plate algorithm in VVV is just incredible, really, the best reverb algorithm i've ever heard.

Sorry Turello, I don't speak Italian very well, and therefore don't know/hang out on any Italian music forums, but I can ask my friend at BlendNoise studio in Milan, he might know some cool Italian music forums!Turello wrote:@Hermetech Mastering: scusa la parentesi ma c'è un forum come questo in italiano?

I read on the NI forum that it doesn't have a full stereo path so that might be why. That's why I prefer Reverberate for convolution reverbs (and wish Acon hadn't given their reverb such a confusingly similar name - it can't be doing Liquidsonics any favours)hibidy wrote: @reflektor: Always annoying to work with in GR. It is stereo - but you need to click on the R for full stereo in and out. (otherwise its mono in and stereo out)aMUSEd wrote:....

The subject says "decision made."
What was it, again?
We have a lot of nice reverbs, but the SSL Duende X-Verb is still ruling the top of the list of ones that I wouldn't want to do without.
I detailed this previously, so I'll just leave it at that.

It was never the intention to hurt LiquidSonics in any way (and I find it hard to believe that we do). I apologize for any confusion, though. We already had the plug-in "DeVerberate" for reverb reduction, so "Verberate" seemed like a logical choice. It is not really easy to find names and it is important for us to have fairly consistent names throughout our range of plug-ins.aMUSEd wrote:I read on the NI forum that it doesn't have a full stereo path so that might be why.
