No, but you would think that it should toggle all the recarm of the group's children? Or is that to dangerous for accidentally arming something.Ogopogo wrote:Is it possible to record into a group track? Or is the arm button just always greyed out?

Thanks. Seems like a cool idea. Maybe it could work like the rec arm button in the inspector when you have multiple tracks selected. Showing the state of the child tracks, and stripes if only some are armed? Then you wouldn't have to worry about if any hidden child tracks were armed.

Yeah I will probably mention it. The mute/solo work this way, they override the children's values but to not trash them.Ogopogo wrote:Thanks. Seems like a cool idea.
Using the same logic, they could do this with recarm as well, if selected arms all children, if deselected, returns all children to their previous recarm state.

it's crashing here too when shift-clicking the meter's peak level in the Arrange/Inspector.TeotiGraphix wrote:It's crashing right now....MarkSutor wrote:I remember asking about this so long ago! Super really great stuff.CnuTram wrote:Great stuff!

REALLY great stuff!Worked a couple times but now it just crashes with Shift + click.
Mike
shift-clicking the peak level in Mix view (extended meters shown) doesn't crash, but doesnt seem to do anything at all.

Actually you can. Usually there is no input selected for a group track, but if you set it to an input the group track will record to the group master track.TeotiGraphix wrote:No, but you would think that it should toggle all the recarm of the group's children? Question for those routing gurus.
The image below, I have Maschine sending notes to the PolySynth(using the Arp in Maschine).
I would expect that during recording, I would hear the poly synth but the polysynth only plays when Rec of the arranger is deselected(and notes have been recorded into the clip), select it again, no signal from the polysynth. Has anybody seen this before?

Ok it seems I have learned something new today.
So a Group has a master audio track inherently. It overrides the child's signal.
In the below image, the polysynth only plays when the audio clip is absent.
To edit the actual Group's master clip, you must double click it in the arranger.
