The result didn't get published, but it should be 50/50 if based entirely upon preference.

You might not have time to read the last few pages but IncarnateX pointed out some important facts about this and the potential bias introduced intentionally into the data.

Okay, this is not intended to be scientific... yet if you were to set up an experiment like this and bias the data this way you'd either:

Be measuring the effects of the bias introduced relative to the original data, for which you'd need a control and reference
Be committing fraud

People seem to take offense at our contributions to a topic. They take our attacks aimed at the idea/statement as personal attacks.

I guess they feel since they were making a statement, attacking the statement or proving they were wrong harms them personally.

This isn't how it works. Everyone makes mistakes. We're in this together. Our goal is to help each other, to lean on each other so we can climb higher than we could otherwise climb on our own.

Allowing someone else to make a mistake when you are full well aware is the greatest sin possible.

Yes I simply can't let you make the mistake of believing hardware is anywhere near the superior quality of software. That would indeed be a sin..........

If the hardware is an old Tiesco 60f, Siel dk80 or Akai ax80, then yes the premise that software is superior is valid and I'd take synth 1 over the lot of them.
If the analogue synth is a pristine Memorymoog, Jupiter 8 or Prophet 5, there's nothing in software that, in my considered opinion, comes even close.

This is all common sense stuff for those with an objectivity that goes beyond the need to troll and/or settle old kvr scores.

Diva vs Analogue - a real world test
