Well, if that's the case the new users better REALLY like Marshall tones or else they're hosed.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:On the topic of included gear, please note that another factor is the multitude of users who gave us feedback about there being a lot of gear they don't need, etc,
It's not the quantity of amps, it's the lack of versatility. How about this for 5 starter amps:
1. Fender Twin or JC120 (for cleans)
2. AC30 or Bassman (for clean to dirty)
3. Brit Plexi (for classic Marshall)
4. JCM 800 (for modern-ish Marshall)
5. Triple Rectifier/Engl/Bogner (one of those for modern high gain)
At least there, it's more than just Marshall tones. Look at S-Gear, it's 5 amps, all covering different amps/tones. 5 flavors of Marshall isn't the most versatile setup in the world. I'm a Fender amp guy personally (in fact, my Twin Amp is in the shop now getting some much needed repairs).
I'm definitely in the less is more camp myself, but it's gotta be a nice cross section of amps if you're going that route.
