Mod matrix modulation values still can't be assigned to XY controls. (seems like it dissipated from the list with these latest updates)

Used that pretty heavily with EQ controls. (+ can't make a cool dyn-eq patch within Zebrify :P )
I'm sure we'll bring it back. It came up too late to fix for the release version, i.e. the benefit of releasing these updates outweighed the disadvantages of waiting another few weeks.

Is there going to be a TyrellN6 update too? If so, will it have the preferences panel or at least allow for changing the default skin?

Post

You can already change the default skin easily - just place the custom skin to Support/Themes/ folder and it will show on right-click of Tyrell background.

For some reason though when i set it to default it doesn't recall it. A new instance is always the factory skin at 100% irrespective of what i've set it as.

I figured its the same bug that Zebra had before these latest updates. (Win, 64-bit if that helps)

Not sure at this point. After the recent wave of cracks we need to concentrate on preserving jobs. I.e. there will not be any work on freebees because we simply can't afford that luxury. Instead we need to do major feature updates for our best selling plug-ins in order to lure misguided people over into the light.

Post

Well that's understandable, hopefully it hasn't hit your sales too hard. I'd like to think there's plenty of decent grey-area type people that can be persuaded away from the dark side.

Well, the cracks were "internal" for a year or so. The guys shot in their own foot by making them public, because we've already reversed them and we have a plethora of antidotes. It was actually an attack that I knew could happen one day, just the absence of a public crack left me too lazy to implement the checks.

We've done some tests - while the assignment was possible in earlier versions it never did anything. That's afaik why we dropped it.

(if you have a preset that proves otherwise... send to support at u-he dot com and we'll check it out)
lol, it sounded like it was doing somthing......on patchers where i have like 50 lfo routings i dont eve know whats doin what anymore

Wow! Did you see a substantial drop in sales or is this more of preliminary move? Either way it's disappointing to hear it's happening.
Feel free to call me Brian.

If you're forced to go dongle, please use eLicense and not PACE!

Sorry to hear that. Was it Hive? Would be interesting to see if products for a certain market are more likely to produce cracks. Just wondering, because there are so many Sylenth1 warez, maybe it isn't really the copy protection which matters, but rather the audience. Maybe the EDM kiddies are more prone to use warez than, say, the people looking for a Minimoog Emu.

I think it would make more sense to attribute this to age/maturity, rather than music style.
