Can't believe what I just typed... it's a plugin, not a friggin' palace interior!
Orange is cool on black or grey. But so is turquoise. Wait, valhalla reverb just used that on VVV.

Anyway, I was playing around with Barricade 4 and found mousewheel operation a bit strange with the sliders. One has to turn the wheel so much in order to achieve a change. Is it deliberate to prevent hearing loss due to accidental clicks or sudden wheel turns? 8)

Some sliders seem to be "intelligent", turning the mousewheel is much more effective on one end of the scale as opposed to the other.

Nor is there a slider head as such, which is odd. The whole scale seems to be work as a slider head, so it doesn't matter where you click and drag.

Sometimes I drench all my equipment and studio / gear in the blood of mutilated cattle, the failed dreams of Humanity, and the relentless, inexorable, inevitability of total entropy. Some of my happiest tunes have come from this sort of practice.

Oh, that sounds gloomy.
Then again, death has become my biggest source of inspiration...

Maybe we should get our TB equalizers and dial in a smiley curve :hihi:
And all of a sudden we are back on topic again :D

Late evening? Isn't it almost midnight there? 8)

Yes - TB plugins
Reelbus I love you
And TB Sibalance... As someone who has some hearing loss, I've found it difficult to detect and remove some harshness. Since I started using Sibalance I've been told my music sounds better. Not sure what to make of that.

I think that is pretty much the only TB plugin I never even tried so far.
Where does your hearing end? Found out recently that my left ear is much worse than my right, a difference of about 2 kHz :P

TB Sibalance is great. I use it on cymbals and mixes all the time. Totally transparent.

Yeah my left is pretty bad.
Average, I hear really well from sub to about 4 khz. Then a dip between 4 and 6 khz, back up and then nothing really over 11 khz.
I hate mixing with my eyes, and I miss being able to hear beautiful high stuff. As a music sound and noise addict all my life, everything now sounds muted, with a constant screech of tinnitus that seems higher than 20 khz, like amplified aliasing noise.

It has driven me utterly mad. Anything I say or do which appears lucid or coherent is merely a background program. I assure you this has completely destroyed my sanity.

Peace and love to all

Reverb V4 seems to be out. Looking forward to trying it out. I must admit, considering the feature set the price is incredibly low. No brainer! :tu:

Did a first try, its great sounding and easy to set up.
A new installer for all plugins included and updates for morphit and barricade too:-).

Yes but upgrading is a complete mess.

I bought TB_v3 years ago, can't find the receipt and therefore can't register to Avangate.

With Barricade 4, I initially paid the full price then got refunded by JB through Avangate.

This time I won't do it again. even if its for 10 euros :?
Professional technicians are assessed by the abilities they possess.
Amateur technicians are assessed by the tools they possess - and the amount of those tools, with an obvious preference to the latest hyped ones.

Upgrades are only valid from January 1, 2015. I'm def disappointed over this. I understand they are cheap plugins. I would also understand v.1 and v.2 not qualifying. With that said, I'm on v.3 and feel like this only helps new owners and not loyal customers who own all their plugins.

Its easy if you have the email, at least hes made an effort to
account for earlier purchases. No doubt the VAT is to blame,
prompting the switch to Avangate.
