This is not really true. Toneboosters started using resellers as of January 1st 2015 due to updates in EU tax regulations. Hence any orders prior to that date are not registered with our reseller and we need another way of coupling your account with a purchase of Reverb v4. Hence the request to simply send us an email. If you've lost your purchase emails, we may be able to trace back your qualifying purchase in the past, but that may incur some manual labour and we would need at least an email address and name that was used for the qualifying purchase.

On v1 and v2 and upgrades: Toneboosters provided v3 updates completely free of charge! Hence if you purchased v2, you are already a registered user of v3. To be honest I do not really see a reason to be disappointed ;-)

I apologize. I just read the upgrade date and reacted. I appreciate you clarifying the issue, as I was not aware of the issue.

Oh wow, didn't know the Reverb V4 is available already, and that there is an upgrade path too. :) Well, that's a no-brainer then. Thanks.

Will all plugins be updated to v4? Will there be a track essentials bundle 4?
Since you mention the separate bus tool folder on your site, why is there no bus tool bundle anymore? I think there used to be one.

Regarding the installation paths, are they fixed according to your site? With most other plugins one can select the destination folder.

I don't think it said anything about saving in TB mails, but it was recommended to back up those license files, if I remember correctly. But I am sure I switched email addresses several times meanwhile.
I don't even remember when I bought my TB stuff, nor with which email address.
But in the case of TB it's not really a problem as even the full price of the new reverb is very affordable :tu:

So, a big installer for all plugins now, and you can't choose the VST2 location? Mmh... that's bad. Downloading the portable zip now.

What does "portable" even mean here?

Probably that it's the mere DLL's, and you can just move them to your VST folder, without installing it, and creating reg files, and what not. I'll see in a few seconds. :D

Edit: Yep, it's the pure DLL's. Well, that's the best anyway for me.

Ah, cool, yes, that's the best way, installation sucks :P

Wow, this thing is great... very nice GUI, great sound, and the ducking options are a real gain. Best 10 € i spent in the last century? :)

You can decide where to install the vst2 version while install process!!!!

Post

I didn't find it. I skipped though, before the actual installation process, when i had to click on "install". I frankly didn't find a possibility to set the path though. Maybe i missed something. The portable install is cool for me though.

Trying the new reverb now, in terms of mere sound quality I don't really notice much of a difference to v3, frankly. Just tried it with several synth patches...

An EQ within a reverb is interesting, but can't one disable/bypass the EQ like the other three components?
