That may make the upgrade price more reasonable.
I have never seen that.

Great update! I'm really enjoying the CMI, it has a lot of things to explore. Love the drums capabilities and quality, seems like SPARK is ready for an engine upgrade, I'd be happy to have the CMI engine as a drum machine. It's my current desert island synth, which have made me able to forget about the Kawai K1/4/5 for a while.

Love to have Dexed, DX7 and Synclavier side by side. Each of them provide something different from one another. But the more I play, the more I'm lusting for an authentic SY99 VSTi :)

I like the Buchla 259e Twisted Waveform Generator in Softube Modular. Really glad that the Easel came along, it's one of the hardware that I keep an eye for. Both are complimenting each other nicely.

Not sure if they improved the engine, but the pianos and organs are sounds better to me now, less digital sheen and more comfortable to play. The Piano V2 is far from the pianoteq's perfection, but it's a nice alternative with a different type of character. I'm a fan of Pianoteq's Electric Pianos and Hohner Collection, glad to have an alternative in V6.

My only wish is that they will update the older Vintage synths such as the Moog and Modular V for a more modern authentic emulation standard. I can't wait to play the Modular V with The Legend's quality. Also the ability to use 4 layers in the Analog Lab, with the DX7 and CMI we can do some of the SY99 tricks in there, even a more powerful one.

Arturia definitely allowed the upgrade to be sold through dealers when V5 was released in May of 2016. The upgrade was around $168 at most of the popular plugin shops.

It looks like this time Arturia is only offering the full version through dealers, not the upgrade. That's too bad, because even the extra $30 or so off would make the V6 upgrade more appealing.

Good to know, tnx! I agree, especially since I'm tempted.

Not cool...
Can you PM some details about this (which instruments, OS, DAW...) so we can have a look at this tomorrow?
Sorted, I think its a problem with the Software Centre.

I had previously installed everything on the C drive but now installed to the D drive.

I had changed the location under settings in the Software Center but only the new VSTs were installed to the D drive.

The updated VSTs were installed in the old location of C.

My DAW is looking at D.

So I had had the old VST dlls on the D drive trying to load the updated data

Thank you for the update. We will investigate this.

And then I remember that they are only just ok usually. The DX7 is definitely probably the least needed emulation right now, given how good the free Dexed is, as well as NI FM8 for going beyond the original. Although maybe people who need a huge GUI would benefit.
I thought so too at first but actually it sounds really good and has a character that is different from the others.

On topic: thoughts on Analog Lab 3 and its 1500 additional presets compared to Analog Lab 2?
In addition to the new presets, the functionality is similar to AL 2,. There have been some updates to the GUI (like selecting a 'type' in order to drill down to the instruments.
I find it to be much faster to open and use, seems somehow they have improved its efficiency.

I wished that they had decided to tackle the SY instead. I'm guessing that wouldn't have the market appeal and would also come with sample clearance issues.

Analog Lab 3 replaces Analog Lab 2 installation or it's a different plugin?

It's a different plugin, but it deletes the old one during installation so back it up. I made a zip of mine just in case and have just added it back, it may be they delete it so as not to cause conflicts so I need to see what happens now.

If you think DeXEd is good (which it is, indeed) just try DX7 V. Just do one thing: Load one of your favorite banks that you have in SYX format, and compare the sound out of the two. Then come back with your findings.

It is. One of the improvements was in the way it opens and browses thorugh the instruments. I had AL2 uninstalled, because it took so long to open and browse. Now, AL3 was back to business. I can't understand anyone would prefer AL2 over AL3.
