Hi we believe the right decision from Apple was to centralize/standardize this folder so that we did not have to mess with multiple paths, merging them, figuring out which are dupes, which is the latest version etc. I guess I need good reasons to believe it is useful.
What's up at Plogue?

The problem is I have separated out all my older VST32 plugins because most of them (being so old and no longer updated) cause instability in modern hosts. Bidule is the only host I have reliable enough to still be able to load things like Hartman Neuron VST for example, but ironically it's also the only host that I can't point to my new custom VST32 plugin folder!
Also I actually have all my other hosts pointing to a folder of symlinks to plugins rather than the actual plugins, means I can organise them all how I want and also exclude plugins from certian hosts if they are incompatible.

The Bidule 32bit builds will disappear in the near future, so that argument would not apply, sorry.

Yeah hit a few bumps in the UI design, but chipsynth MD is getting close to beta. Then C64 hopefully both before the end of the year. Cheers!

Also in love with PortaFM. One of the best virtual instruments created in my opinion, look forward to the next one being released. Your attention to detail is next level David, I would love some more fx from you guys.

We kind of perpetually shove all our effects idea in chipcrusher (which we since re-dubbed "Retro-Digital Multi-Effect") in 2.0 like the added SNES "echo verb"

PortaFM is pretty much top of my to buy list, just grabbed chipcrusher a couple of weeks ago, amazing stuff for digital dirt. I will def instabuy the NES and megadrive plugins as that's right up my alley.

'chipsynth FC' is basically a NES (FamiCom) + all Japanese sound expansions including MMC5, not that this is the most interesting of the lot when you have FDS, VRC6 and N163 ha. MD is next though. Its in beta.
