No worries. I think there are different types of customers and different sales models that target the different types of customers. I agree. I think the subscription model does work well for the type that uses the applications the way you described. In my case , it would never work. I try out demos, and if I like the application and tool for what it is, I buy it and keep it and invest time learning it. So that $1k investment in a subscription would be better spend investing in computer hardware that will give me an ROI by allowing me to use a faster more powerful system for next 5 to 7 years.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Wed Nov 27, 2019 12:10 pmDemand, supply, yadda, yadda. Value for money is very much in the eye of the beholder. I think a year to play with all their various products to properly evaluate what you want isn't too bad a deal.telecode wrote: Wed Nov 27, 2019 12:01 pmthis is for soundsonlne right?WatchTheGuitar wrote: Wed Nov 27, 2019 11:53 am Just a heads up for anyone subscribed to East West's Creative Cloud - they've now included Sugar Bytes Aparillo if anyone was thinking of buying it in the current sale.
they BF deal is $200 for 1 yr. so 5 years will run you $1k and you still need to get a computer and a DAW on top of that. Wow...
Lots of people are down on the subscription model, but will buy a product, use it for a year and then sell it for less than what they paid or just leave it sitting on their PC unused. Do that enough times and subscribing isn't too bad a deal IMO.
My post wasn't aimed at getting people to subscribe anyway, it was meant as a heads up for those that are already subscribers and were thinking about buying Aparillo.

i'm referring to their overall sales, what's it to you anyway?foosnark wrote: Wed Nov 27, 2019 10:45 am I'm amazed at how many complaints people have made here this year about "Black Friday" being disappointing in one way or another when IT ISN'T EVEN BLACK FRIDAY YET. It's Wednesday.
If people can cast their minds back like... three or four years, Black Friday was one day.
Also plugin discounts tend to be far more generous than anywhere else. I'm mostly seeing 10% sales on synth hardware -- which some stores will just give you anytime if you ask for it. But the biggest whining has been about plugin discounts.
There are plenty of devs who aren't going any discounts at all, and never do. And that's fine.
But a dev that "only" gives a 40% discount for four entire days is somehow "Scrooge." Ooookay.
I'm sure i can pick your posts out of context too.

I logged into my account on their website. Around £55 I think it was. A bit too much for me personally.Harry_HH wrote: Wed Nov 27, 2019 3:40 pm Where is the upgrade price ver 1 - > ver 2 of the gospel-musicians-neo-soul-keys-studio?

Hi Uncle E, I just ordered XLN Audio - XO from your shop. Thank you.
Sorry for being impatient, but by when can I expect the product key?
I got an email saying:
Not worrying, just a bit too excited. This license needs to be manually generated. You will be contacted immediately when it becomes available.

So I guess it's not a pricing error? Or if it is, hopefully we'll find out tomorrow. Last year PB sent out a "correction" the next day....Vortifex wrote: Wed Nov 27, 2019 6:40 pm Quoting this from the other thread:

It's the same price when I log into iZotope itself, so it is real.Ou_Tis wrote: Wed Nov 27, 2019 6:42 pmSo I guess it's not a pricing error? Or if it is, hopefully we'll find out tomorrow. I wonder if competition from Gullfoss, Spiff, and others has inspired Izotope to put up that crazy sale. (Neutron seems to have been receiving most praise for its transient shaper, but Spiff seems significantly better.)
