CM Magazine subscription at Pocketmags is indeed tempting. I love the masterclass videos they include in them.

Is FutureMusic magazine any better?

They're pretty equivalent, but there are some differences:

- CM seems more aligned with Drum and Bass, Dubstep and EDM producers, which you'll see in their choices of tutorials and interviews
- CM covers software how-tos, reviews, etc. U-he, Serum, Sylenth1, etc.
- FM is much more Techno/House oriented. Some really great interviews with techno DJs and producers
- FM is hardware. You'll find your Modular, Elektron, Sequential, Novation stuff here.

Did the prices of Sonnox plugins go up? I'm specifically looking at you, Everyplugin and JRRShop. About a week ago, Inflator was $65.94 at EP. Now it's $68.36. The Enhance bundle was cheapest at JRR at $182.78 after code FORUM. Now it's $192.24! What's up with that? The sale should last until December 4th.

I am on the fence about buying Absolute. I bought Halion during last year's sale. It is so comprehensive that it seems to covers most of what the other Steinberg plugins do, with the exception of Groove Agent.

I have quite a large collection of one-shot samples, very many of them are drum sounds, but not all. Quite a lot of foley stuff in my collection as well, for example. I think I'd have very good use for one of them smart sample browsers and so I'd like to pick one up during Black Friday, but I'm not sure which one: Atlas, Sononym or XO. I don't really have time now to play with the demos and explore, so I thought I'd watch videos and ask instead. If you've compared them, which one would you pick over the others, and why? Or would you say they complement each other more than anything?

On my phone and can't type in detail, but I compared Atlas and XO. After spending some time I realized XO was more intuitive and had more useful features. The features of XO far outweigh its price.

And man, the number and quality of samples that come with XO are phenomenal. If you are on the fence, they should take you over.

I am not disrespecting Atlas, it's great. But maybe version 2.0 will be something to look out for.
