Yes I have explored this method and I really don't like it.

Is there any way to have my personal samples visible and available in the integrated browser of CMI?

Unless it is simply a case of dumping my samples in THAT specific folder (not ideal but I will try).

Anyhow it looks like this is not really possible but will look at options. Thanks
It isn't really practical to have ALL samples inside the Samples/CMI V folder, since that folder resides in the Program Data folder (a system folder that has to be in the system disk).

That's why it was implemented like this. This way, we can use whatever samples we want, in whatever disk they are.

OK then it is really odd if I use CMI V as a plugin and my asio driver is locked by my host how am I supposed to audition sample?

Now you lost me (again).

CMI V always has rights over it's own directories, otherwise it wouldn't be able to load any presets.

If you mean auditioning samples with the system player, I presume you have a different audio card for ASIO, other than the system audio. Most people do, and it's the right way to do things, anyway

Hi thanks and sorry Fernando for my complicated question.

Yes it is because of ASIO. Any decent/recent software sampler would allow to audition samples inside directly...

I will reach out to Arturia for clarifications here as the present system does not make sense (but usable to some extent).

Thanks

Hey guys! I just ordered myself a Minilab Mk2 and have been planning to update to Analog Lab 4 rather than using lite. It looks like the price is only $69 to upgrade which is a pretty good deal considering it’s $200 software.

Does anyone know if V Collection 7 comes at a discount if you own Minilab MK2 or Analog Lab? Same question for Pigments 2? Looking to invest in a few of Arturia’s products to accompany my new controller. Any info would be appreciated!

Post

Owning Minilab saves you $100 on V Collection 7, I think. I recently did what you're planning to, Mk 2 --> AL 4... which is great, btw - lots to keep you busy there for $69. I also bought Pigments 2, at the introductory price a few months back, for $69 also - I believe it's $99 now.

Thanks for the information! Do I need to uninstall Analog Lab Lite before I install Analog Lab or will it just replace it when I install Analog Lab? I got my Arturia Minilab Mk2 up and running and so far so good!

Post

No need to uninstall lite, it will do it all for you. You should also install Arturia Software Center, if you haven't already. Ya, Mk2 is a great little controller... solid, keys feel decent and, looks nice on the desk :-)

Does anyone know what is the upgrade price from V Collection 4 to 7, especially during the current sale period where V Collection 7 is available for 50% off?

If anyone having V Collection 4 (or 5) can confirm this from their account, that would be really appreciated. Thank you!

It's a great collection of synths and worth getting the upgrade! :tu:

I own V5 and for me it shows the 199€ crossgrade offer, which is weird. Usually it's 99€ for upgrades during these sales. If you log into your account you should see your special offer.

it must be a upgrade offer, did you check "your products", and look at upgrade available.
sometimes these offers aren't correct.

strange, it is normally not important which version you own, it is always the same upgrade price (they call it upgrade).

Thanks. I think you would need to contact Arturia support in this case. I am sure they will help you out. :)

it was always the case, perhaps someone can verify. i assume you want to buy a second hand v4, for upgrading?

i can't check it, because i have v6, and it is €99. still in doubt. but €33,333333333 etc for 3 synths ain't bad. great synths. why didn't i upgrade earlier, invested at the time of the sale, too much in other things..

if v8 comes in december, i will buy it now. the synthi is what i like, o, the other two also...

and i am very satisfied arturia customer (bug reports are taken very seriously and in the next update, implemented, i have experienced myself. ableton is also very good, but it took a half year, before the bug i found, is now in the beta, the solution that is...) and i like the sound of all synths, problably i do not hear what others hear, with blankets and so...

To be honest, I have V Collection 7 myself. I was contemplating about selling it and grabbing a cheaper V Collection 4 for now, since it has a few synths of my interest. This will make it possible for me to upgrade to V Collection 7 or 8 later directly, hopefully for $99, when the sale happens again. I know, a bit of a gamble and a mixed bag of feelings for V Collection for me, since I am not using it much right now. But I certainly see the potential of at least some of them getting used.

As far as Arturia is concerned, I full agree with you. I have raised quite a few bug reports and other requests and have always received satisfactory answers. This is one reason I have quite a few of their products, including KeyLab MKII, V Collection 7 and Pigments 2.
