Everyone calm down. It sounds like this was an honest mistake and Bitwig have agreed to refund the money so nobody has lost out. No need for any unpleasant behaviour. Everyone makes mistakes, no harm done here.

But I agree, it should be in the user panel (too).

I don't think they can call that option out in the user panel as they use a 3rd party for all transactions and they probably can't link/change the options of the credit card company, I think they would need their own billing platform to do that. There must be an option from the billing provider to opt out (I assume) but if its anything like PayPal it can be tricky to find!
Personally I just don't opt in to automatic re-new on anything as you can normally get better offers to temp you to re-subscribe (to anything). I don't even do the free offers now that require a card so that you get billed if you don't cancel the free trial as I always forget!
Life is full of little lessons, all well that ends well

Oh . I bought a renew a week before. didn't take time to see and unable this option . As it is "Bitwig" it would not suspect they tick this box ... and didn't suspected that there was one.
Then if there is no options in the account to unselect that i have to write to Bitwig or there is a way to unselect it in the "Bitwig webshop" ? and how can we go back to the Bitwig webshop ? I certainly don't want to have this surprise next year .
I buy each license of Bitwig and don't want to an Auto renew at all.

Ok i found how yo get to 2chekout to see if auto nenew is active. Mine is not. Then all fine ! It's a little complicate , should be really easier to do that on the Bitwig account

You don't have to 'unable' the option, it is not pre-selected, you have to manually select it....zengel wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2020 7:39 pm Ok i found how yo get to 2chekout to see if auto nenew is active. Maybe all Bigwig need to do (if people are concerned) is put instructions for how to check/change this option via 2checkout on the account page?

I feel very sorry that you are not able to live your life alone... perhaps next time before you buy something you should call momi that she holds your hand and take care that noone overreaches you...Evgeny_M wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2020 4:39 pm ...

From the bill you received you have a link to go 2Checkout Support . You click on it and you enter your Order number .
Then you will receive a new email that let you click on a link .
Then you make a password . You have less than 1 minute to enter a password or it i will say " link expired" . I know because the password i made was not strong enough and i had to remake all from the beginning.
Then when your password is strong enough you are redirected on a login page where you put your email and put your password .
Here you have "myproduct page" with the history of your Bitwig license . Then i saw that for my last license the "Auto-Renewal" was disabled....you have the option to "Avoid service interruptions" by enable the auto-renewal .
That's it . Easy

Thanks - they seem a bit slow in sending out links - maybe they do it manually?

Hopefully v3.2 improves the user base.
There are two kinds of people in the world. And you're not one of them.
