It's not as unpopular as you might think. Out of my 80 libraries, it's my 37th best seller. Not bad for a synth that NEVER gets talked about.
Is that a marketing? I fail to see the relation!
Well, if you can't see it I don't know what to tell you.

If nobody talks about a synth and nobody buys it, then theoretically, I shouldn't sell any copies of the library at all.

Now Ascension? That synth must be a dismal failure because it's dead last of all my libraries by a mile. And after the reviews I've read, not surprised.

Still not sure why I bought it.

37th best-selling sound set, how many is that in numbers? 5? 8)

Anyway, VisualCZ VirtualCZ is a great synth but definitely not easy to program. It's a very capable synth however and there are some great presets. PD synthesis is not popular and very few synths use it (Bazille). CZ V is by the same developer by the way ;)

My sales figures are none of your business.

Well, you kind of started it when you mentioned that that sound set is your 37th best selling one
And rank 37 sounds like very very little demand to me. After all, you are not a renowned sound designer.

I bought it in the hope it would fill the hole that losing PlastiCZ! and my SynthEdit PD synths left but I never really warmed to it. I don't think I even have it installed any more. I might have to give it another go.
Yes you should give it another go indeed.

Yes :)
I'm waiting for a future bargain to buy their Collection as I also like DX7 V and other "digital" synths. Anyway, after demoing more than once their digital synths, CZ V is by far my favourite synth. It just sounds great. VirtualCZ also can sound the same I believe with some effort :)

Cooker wrote: Mon Feb 03, 2020 12:01 pm I wish Waldorf would update Largo. Personally I have no problems with the sound but the preset browser is really ancient.
I really like and still use a lot of the Waldorf software - Largo, PPG 3.v., even Attack. They desperately need to clean up and fix their plugins, though. With the PPG, they had to remove most of the included presets because of a problem with NKS and that was years ago, still no fix. The VST3 version of Largo constantly crashes on my system no matter the DAW (at least the VST2 version works).
I agree for the most part.
I think their synths are interesting but there are still really annoying bugs ( the browsers on Largo and Nave are a joke. I can't get the display size to work in Nave). So they ain't getting no love no more.. shame because they are pretty cool soundwise...
