Is there anyone on here who did buy Magix software from the Humble bundle deal? I think might be good to confirm what it comes with and where the codes come from.

According to this source [1], it doesn't come with the extras that you get when you buy directly from Magix [2] .

nope. didnt get SF with the SL6 yet as it seems it wont upgrade to 7. besides, lots of discussion on Stein forums about various issues with SL 6.

My thinking was that from the FREEDOM2020 $100 SF13/SL6 to an SL7 update might be less than the cost of a SL7. But then SL7 may come with an intro price. Oh well. Whatever will be will be!

Does anyone have any thoughts on these? I've heard them in a few compositions now. No keyswitch articulations so you'll have to do it the old way, that's the major downside I'm seeing right now. It seems that there's legitimately only 4 or 5 "arabic" or "oriental" strings libraries out there that have this sound.

They also have a free 970mb multisample string library on their site, worth getting just that for sure.

I did some research on the company, it is from Algeria and the owner Keddari Riadh is pretty active on facebook and posts compositions using these strings often so I think it may be safe to order, if not of course there's paypal protection. I may contact him about the messiness of the website, I've currently just sent an e-mail asking about the deal end time zone.
The free strings have already found a place in two songs of mine already. I can somewhat emulate this sound using my current libraries and some VST magic but this is much better and easier

SL6 via Magix is a Steinberg code that you register with Steinberg.
The regular upgrade price for SL Pro from the previous version is currently $100.
If you have a version that is 2 or more older the upgrade is a lot more.
Steinberg have only owned it for just over a year so no guarantee that they will upgrade it soon.
How often do they upgrade other products excluding Cubase?

Just noticed the £9.75 deal in plugin boutique for Phoenix Verb, I know it's old but that seems like a good deal for a "natural" sounding reveb, there seem to be less options for that kind of thing than the "effects" type of reverbs. I only have today to decide, are there other options other than convolution reverbs?
