The Samplex for Windows is only in Vst3 format, i.e. no e.g. Live compatible (Vst2).

No mention of this restriction in the Audioplugin deals salas announcement.

Thanks for that. And I guess on the topic of warnings about no mention in product info - I had bought Xhun Audio's Iron Axe when Jrrshop had it on the $22 sale recently, there was no mention that that plugin is 32bit only! As soon as I realised this (during the installer) I requested a refund. Im still waiting on this refund now a month later :/

Lesson: always check on the official product website for things like system compatibility, copy protection used, number of activations etc!
WHAAAAAT THE HEEECK! It's true:

No company should be selling 32-bit plugins that don't have a 64 version
Absolutely agree 100%!
Xhun-Audio don't appear to care for their customers at all, they decided Catalina was too much work for them and dropped support.

If the coupon code, USEANDGETTHECLAP, worked to get Omnisphere for $4.99, PayPal would burst.

Also, a lot of KVR members would own Omnisphere. And a new VD!

Yeah I was shocked too. It took me by surprise completely. I actually really felt the onus was on Jrrshop to have that bit of info listed in BOLD at beginning of description, as this really is a deal breaker for many people.

In my opinion it's better to wait for a sale of the MSP 3 bundle and upgrade any advanced product (just buy second hand an older neutron or ozone for like $50,-) to the bundle for like $130,-.

Post

You also get deals on "Tonal Balance Bundle Crossgrade from any paid iZotope product" for $199 (or less at dealers) from time to time, which includes O9A among other products and is probably their best deal in my opinion.

Post

KeepForrest have a sale on at the moment. I've been looking at Atlantica for a while.
Its $99 on sale now. But a couple of years ago it was $69; don't know if it'll ever be that low again, maybe they upgraded it(?) I might wait for BF.

re: Izotope, I would say once you're on the Izotope train you can get MPS bundle and that for me represented the best value.
I had O8A, and for a pretty reasonable fee, got into the MPS bundle and got Neutron, Nectar, Vocalsynth, Insight, Melodyne4 etc. Normally with Izotope I see their deals and think, "nah", but this MPS bundle was worth it. And it use pretty much all of it too; these plugins aren't sitting around taking up space.
Anyway,

What MasterTuner said. See if you can find a used license of Neutron or Ozone advanced and upgrade to the MPS! I got the whole package for $175 or so I believe ;)

Getting a bit interested in Synapse Audio DUNE 3. A few questions if someone can please help clarify:

1. What is the best price it can be had for and when? RRP is a bit too much for me.

2. I understand that the license can be transferred, but does it become NFR after one or more transfers? Any transfer fees involved?

3. I am demoing it right now. The preset browser is way too old school imo, or is it better in the full version?

Preset browser is the same shit in full version. Best price is education I guess (half price). Have never seen it discounted that much. As I remember the license gets nfr after first transfer but doubkecheck it at their site.

1. I know it was $129 a few months ago. Don't remember seeing it lower than that but maybe someone else can say for certain.

Well, duh! Most people can get gonorrhea treated at the clinic for free, but try getting Ominsphere for $4.99!

That sucks. Massive X browse looks better than DUNE 3's!

Okay, but the website says the following regarding license transfer. Perhaps it would be best to check with them directly regarding this. EDIT: Sent an email to them.

Okay, hopefully I will be interested in it by the time it goes on sale again. If it does not become NFR, I might as well prefer getting it second hand here for even less.

BBFG# wrote: Wed Jul 22, 2020 10:59 pm Everything I've bought from them directly was received immediately. Usually with a "download now" button on the following page after payment is confirmed. Once on getting a grace period update that didn't go through, I did have to wait for support to reply to fix it. Which they did in a reasonable time by issuing a new serial number. Probably less than two days.
The one thing I've found is they never respond to any pre-sale questions.
Definitely no "download now" button for me. They emailed a code which then had to be activated on Elicenser Control Center. It didn't take 4 days, but it is not immediate if immediate is what you need. On the shop checkout, it states:

""Payment and product delivery will be processed immediately and are not subject to any waiting period. After a successful payment authorisation the order is confimed and will be delivered. Digital products will be delivered instantly. Shippable orders will be prepared for shipment.""

The catch is, the payment authorization is subject to up to a 4 day waiting period

yeah well that is dishonest to act like it always happens when it clearly doesn't.
The non-immediate delivery was my experience, so that is what I know. Additionally, it says right there on their site that it can take up to 4 days for payment authorization. I also never said this "always" happens. So I don't understand why you're coming at me sideways saying I'm being dishonest. I was just giving fellow KVR'ers a heads up to seek another retailer to purchase from if they want to receive the product in a hurry.

If you're not familiar with JBridge, it's for VST32 and allows you to run VST32 plugins In your Host... jBridge is an application designed for bridging VST plugins in Windows (up to the 2.4 VST specification. I use it on my old VST32 that are no longer available in VST64.

Here is a link to JBridge
