I asked Matt about the update to 3. He created a blog post to explain a little more https://www.liquidsonics.com/2020/10/12 ... rberate-3/
It is resizable. Keep in mind the windows in the middle and bottom are toggled on and off.

Thanks, interesting! I'd always hoped for a "LSR with better GUI and the fruits of their recent research".Etienne1973 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 9:31 pmI'm testing this feature right now. It's described in the R3 User Guide on page 27 onwards.Winstontaneous wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 9:17 pmCurious what the "synthetic" in the following point means from the list Eteinne1973 shared...anyone know? To my mind it implies "algorithmic goodies possibly derived from Illusion" but is this still a fully convolution reverb?
"Synthetic early reflections and tail generation modules"

Looks like transfers for v1 and v2 are no longer supported. Might have to wait for the Black Friday sales to get a good deal on this one, I'm very impressed with the demo so far.

This was more about me getting a cheap 2nd hand license for v1 or v2.Neon Breath wrote: ↑Tue Oct 13, 2020 2:41 pmOwners of Reverberate 1, Reverberate 2 and Reverberate Core licenses can upgrade for 50% off – get your coupon from the upgrades page.
So anyone who is currently trying to sell either of those versions will have to update
to be able to sell the license.
To be honest I might give in before BF because these Bricasti IR's are sooooo nice!

Quite a solid update.
UI size option is very welcome and the overall revamp of the whole UI is also a blessing for the eyes. Previous version was very bloated and often confusing for quick navigation. Much better now
As for the sound... Well you know, it's LiquidSonics! Pristine, clear, top notch sound design possibilities. Traditional IR's, fusion IR's, SIM-TS and modulation options, onboard effects, it's a monster convolution reverb.

So since we can't sell V1/V2, that would mean we'd have to purchase the upgrade and then sell that. But isn't there an ilok fee? Something like $25? So that would into most remaining money that you might get from transferring V3.

I would have a suggestion for Liquidsonics: it seems to me that AIF sound files can be opened as IRs only if their suffix is .aiff, while I would suggest to add .aif to this.

Umm...iLok! I sold the dongle when I made a switch from Pro Tools to REAPER, and have never used it since then. Do you always have to be online if you choose to use the cloud version of iLok?
I really like Reverberate 2, but v3 looks so nice!

Reverberate 3 is a great tool for tweaking Impulse Responses.
I have a large collection of experimental Impulse Responses I made and brought into Reverberate 3 just to see what reverb designs I could come up with.
Sustained guitar + Reverberate 3 + Custom Impulse Responses = Interesting Sounds.

Bit annoying that the installers for the IRs won't let me install onto an external drive. Why is this not possible?

Weirdly in the info at the bottom of the product page (https://www.liquidsonics.com/software/reverberate-3/) it says you specifically can do just that: "Fusion-IRs require additional disk space (can be installed to a separate drive)"

The Mac installer at least won't allow that - it says it must be installed on the system drive - maybe it is possible to move the IRs themselves afterwards?mcbpete wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 6:56 pm Weirdly in the info at the bottom of the product page (https://www.liquidsonics.com/software/reverberate-3/) it says you specifically can do just that: "Fusion-IRs require additional disk space (can be installed to a separate drive)"

Meanwhile seems we need to move the IR libraries manually to external drive. I had to create symbolic links. Normal macOS Finder Alias didn't work.
For now a workaround:
1. Locate installed IR libraries on system drive:
Code: Select all
/Library/Audio/Impulse Responses/LiquidSonics
3. Download SymbolicLinker service app and install it correctly (consult ReadMe incl. w DL)
4. Create SymLinks and place it in the main folder 'LiquidSonics' on system drive
