I gotta say, having had a hand in OPS7, I'm very happy how it turned out, so I hope you guys like it! (link)

This should probably get its own thread. Few are going to look at page 50 in the What's Up At Plogue thread. I will not be making it because my heart hurts too much as I pull out my card to buy it.

i think it's been that way with the past few chipsynths, too, that the demo took some time after release to appear on their site. just gotta be patient for a bit, i think. ;)

I understand. Both are CPU hitters. Making standard FM code usually takes barely any CPU at all.
But even after plenty of optimization, our emu cores still have to emulate lots of quirks and resample audio from the emulated rates.

As much as I love only having one thread to 'watch', it makes sense.
Up to you, I didn't start it haha.

Arturia is nowhere near Plogue's level of Chip emulation as you can see in multiple youtube videos, while Aturia's effort it's a good one and the synth a sure brings you to the ball park it's not bit accurate as Plogue synths are.
While I don't necessarily doubt that, this comment feels a bit biased. Have you tried DX7 V? Have you tried OPS7? Have you done extensive tests? Done any blind tests? Have you also done these in conjunction with the the real Yamaha DX7? Your statement feels more like an assumption based on Plogue being Plogue, and Arturia being Arturia, and has nothing to do with the involved products.

The Arturia dx7 sounded the most accurate from a video someone posted in here. I'm sure the Plogue is even better, but the Arturia was surprisingly good.

I'm guessing if the Plogue version is properly advertised it'll sell very well.

Edit: I made a thread for the new synth. It physically hurt me to do so.
