I had an Atari ST (upgraded to 1 MB later), ahh the good old days.thecontrolcentre wrote: Thu Dec 30, 2021 6:38 pm I used an internet free Atari STe, hardware sampler & synths for more than 10 years during the 90's and beyond. Got more music done then than I have in the 15 years since. Did more live stuff too. The internet is mostly a distraction imho.
Mine is a 4MB STe ... I still have it (+ a couple of spares). The midi timing is spot on.Examigan wrote: Fri Dec 31, 2021 3:38 pmI had an Atari ST (upgraded to 1 MB later), ahh the good old days.thecontrolcentre wrote: Thu Dec 30, 2021 6:38 pm I used an internet free Atari STe, hardware sampler & synths for more than 10 years during the 90's and beyond. Would you be satisfied making music with that? For how long? (According to the post, there would be no updates, mind you. ...even if IMHO that's a silly restriction.)Tj Shredder wrote: Sun Jan 02, 2022 7:38 am The simplest would be a computer an interface, a mic and just Bitwig, nothing else… Well without internet a vinyl cutter and envelopes with stamps to distribute the results…

I forgot of course to mention the LinnStrument as well...Introspective wrote: Sun Jan 02, 2022 1:54 pmWould you be satisfied making music with that? For how long?
