To the makers who were good enough to reach out and answer my question directly, I thank you. I respect your decision. I'm also a hobbyist who doesn't make a dime from music, yet chooses to pay for software rather than steal it.
By the way, although we don't play the "sales/deep discount" game, we do have a permanent 50% discount for music students and music teachers at accredited schools/colleges. That is how we acknowledge the importance of supporting the arts.

Looks like Accusonus is no longer going to be offering any of their plugins. They will continue to offer support until next year: https://accusonus.com/kingnkosi wrote: Fri Mar 04, 2022 6:48 pmhttps://tech.eu/2022/02/01/meta-drops-t ... -accusonusAloysius wrote: Fri Mar 04, 2022 3:02 pmchrisstiles wrote: Fri Mar 04, 2022 11:23 am Has something happened to Accusonus? This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

I finally got an answer from someone that actually looked at my message but it wasn't the answer I was hoping for.Aloysius wrote: Thu Mar 03, 2022 11:43 pmWell that was worth the read. I have MODO DRUM v1.5 working after changing file paths but still only two kits available.Aloysius wrote: Thu Mar 03, 2022 9:21 pm Awaiting a reply from IK Multimedia about my missing MODO Drum Paks.
They have a FAQ that I need to read.
https://www.ikmultimedia.com/faq/index.php?id=1429
MODO DRUM isn't seeing my sound content, what do I do?
Shall wait for IK Multimedia to reply.
He told me that it was audiodeluxe responsibility that they didn't state that it was the old version they were selling and that I should contact them but I don't want to start all over. And basically I still think that the problem is IK Multimedia that has a problem communicating versions and differences between products that have a lot in common. You cannot demand a reseller to constantly screen whatever changes some vendor make to their products.
However I stated my opinion about their lack of transparency regarding products, their way of making software sales and thereafter release a new version so customers in reality wasn't in for a good deal but seeing themselves just have to pay again for an upgrade. And also the problem of not having a grace period for new product versions after purchasing a product just before a new release is extremely unsatisfying. The last thing I complained about was the 30 pct. cut from jampoints that make them useless to people with high VAT.
He promised me that he "would take it further to sales department etc." and give them my opinion to take into considerations in the future. I don't know if he actually does but I hope so.
Anyway they got what they wanted from me because I took the upgrade to full Modo 1.5.

Peter from IK uses these phrases also here at KVR
They are schooled like in a cult ,.. and things are arranged to make you break down
Then when you upgrade,.. f.eks. to new SampleTank ,.. you will be a beta-tester for mounths
Not even the installers will be likely to work
Things are all over the HD ,.. just no instruments in the ST browser ,.. etc. ,.. good luck
Your time is worth nothing ,. they don't respect you
It's been going on for years

[Mod edit: Removed quote of a removed sentence.]
If they skipped their stupid sale model, fired 90% of the marketing business psychopaths in the staff and focused on customer service they could probably get 4 times the profit than they get now.
I got that feeling too. Like it's just the same sentence they repeat again and again until the customer gives up. The same "thank you for your patience" was standard in all replies.HM wrote: Fri Mar 04, 2022 11:01 pm Peter from IK uses these phrases also here at KVR

It’s not like we’re going to miss the flurry of exciting updates. I got a bundle with regroover pro and Rhythmiq about three years ago, same as it was then.SolarAxix wrote: Fri Mar 04, 2022 10:01 pmLooks like Accusonus is no longer going to be offering any of their plugins. I don't know if it's interesting (probably not), but you can get the Reaktor-based MIDI tools "MIDI Grid" or "Hexcel" for $5 apiece. Useless if you don't own Reaktor, but they're the cheapest things they have for regular sale there.gExpectations wrote: Fri Mar 04, 2022 5:20 pm you get crave eq currently with each purchase on ADSR, anyone find something small thats interesting? I kinda wanna get crave eq since I'm building towards full phaseplant environment but I couldnt unearth anything interesting in their sale.
edit: its slice eq

I assume if this a new direction from Facebook, accusonus are unlikely to be the last company this happens to (I’m reminded in some ways of the fate of Elemental Audio).
