Looks like we will be able to release VST3 versions of our plugins in a couple of weeks, YAY!

Links not working for me. I get the following message ....

.vst3 files are supported but something went wrong.

EDIT: actually I just clicked download (despite the error message) and got the file.

However, when I fired up Studio One it said something about metadata and having to reinstall synthmaster and the vst3 doesn't seem to have loaded. Studio One now ignoring the vst3 file (tried restarting, resetting blocklist, deleteing the VST2 files) but don't seem to be able to get Studio One to recognise the VST3 file. Hmmmm.

Hi,, two immediate things.
Why did you give it this weird name, especially on mac.. some pc vst2 NOT vst3 plusings indeed have the x64 suffix to their name, but none that I have anyway have both 64 and x86 and that is on pc, I am not aware of any mac plugin with that (unnecessarily) long name?


Also not making it the same vst id as the vst2 version makes it less useful.. Because the day Cubendo stops supporting vst2 you can't open any old projects that you used vst2 synthmaster in seemlessly.

But the name though.. why?

Btw there is no sound from BT FM Cretins patch (though I just checked, there is no sound in the vst2 version either for this preset).

Why do you think the ID is not same as vst2??? The VST3 id IS calculated based on the VST2 id as per the given instructions by Steinberg...

There are 2 separate architectures on MacOS:

x86-64
arm64

To see which one is being recognized by the DAW, we append the architecture to the name. the name is NOT the ID of the plugin. Each VST2/VST3 plugin has a UNIQUE ID. DAWs remember plugins with that id.
