Asked for my money back. Not expecting to get it. Back to Ableton.
Also, for those living outside of EU and USA there is a promotion, purchase Push 2 with a Suite license included in the price.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. Add-ons really have to be independent of the version of Bitwig if they go this route, otherwise it will be far more annoying than the announcement already was to people. It doesn't bother me if there's add-ons at all actually, but as someone who doesn't feel the need to get an upgrade renewal as soon as mine ends, and will happily use an outdated one for a while, I wouldn't much appreciate it there was an add-on I really wanted but had to renew to get it. They have to be separate.Teksonik wrote: Thu Oct 06, 2022 1:03 pm Look, it's really very simple. Add Ons should be separate products and separate installs. They should not be rolled in to a point update like 4.3.9 that people are already paying for with their yearly update plans.
You decide if the new plugins are something you want, you purchase, and you get the download content.
Those of us who have no interest in the new plugins could simply ignore them instead of being nagged about updating to 4.3.9 every time we load up Bitwig.
This would have avoided a lot of the ill will that this situation has created. This whole thing was a very amateur move by Bitwig.

The cheapest, easiest and most effective way is, to stay with Bitwig. Just use what you have and make music…musikarldererste wrote: Wed Oct 05, 2022 11:01 am so i be honest

It seems to be a sound pack. You can do that probably yourself with the existing tools already… I am not happy either, and the future will tell if this is a viable path. I simply don’t buy sound packs… If nobody buys it, they probably change their strategy…
The most annoying part of it is, that there is a message that I can update my packs and then get an error message, instead of simply not installing what I don’t own…

FWIW, a Bitwig techie wrote me that this is a bug and will be fixed soon with an update.Tj Shredder wrote: Fri Oct 07, 2022 5:53 amThe most annoying part of it is, that there is a message that I can update my packs and then get an error message, instead of simply not installing what I don’t own…musikarldererste wrote: Wed Oct 05, 2022 11:01 am so i be honest

Well - They have to make sure it will be in the short therm, because that message really gets on my nerves. It's like: "yeah - You payed your yearly fee, but you wont get this - Na nana nana nah.."dlandis wrote: Fri Oct 07, 2022 5:57 amFWIW, a Bitwig techie wrote me that this is a bug and will be fixed soon with an update.Tj Shredder wrote: Fri Oct 07, 2022 5:53 amThe most annoying part of it is, that there is a message that I can update my packs and then get an error message, instead of simply not installing what I don’t own…musikarldererste wrote: Wed Oct 05, 2022 11:01 am so i be honest

If you can live without the clip launcher just go with Reaper. It costs about the same as the Spectral Add-On alone and is hands down the mightiest DAW out there.musikarldererste wrote: Wed Oct 05, 2022 11:01 am so i be honest
