That changed in 2016, when we did a sale for Diva's 5th anniversary.
As our newest product, Twangström, turns 4 years old next month, the thing that should be absolutely clear to everyone is that we prioritise improving existing plug-ins (updates!) over creating new ones. We could easily leave our old products orphaned and do four - six badass little synths a year, bargaining on our reputation and making a hell of a lot of money on leveraged code.
However, we don't do latter, which benefits existing users (and sustainability) more so than our own accounts. The only way to keep latter in liquidity is to occasionally do this or that kind of sale. So we usually do something like "here's an incentive if you sign up to our newsletter" or "hey look, we teamed up with Bitwig", or - even more rarely - we do a BF sale or this kind of NI thing.
