"is that a song title?"

If it's not it should be!

No it's what Paul said to john george and ringo while writing songs

De la is used in all forms of spanish. I just feel like bashing De La Caca

Well I went to Barcelona and they have Castilian, Basque, Catalan. I found the Spanish in Spain to be a kind of hybrid Mexico Spanish and Italian - with a lisp.

Only clowns can claim that the 80's was a bad decade for music.
And that list is of the good or of the bad stuff produced in the 80s?
To my taste it's 4 good versus 10 bad acts, while I'm a huge 80s fan.
You might be 80s huge fan, but you're my friend, not a huge fan of good music if you think that there are only 4 good acts the list. Every act there is legendary.
Sorry but the Pet Shop Boys are not legendary. And who the f**k remembers De La Soul?? f**king one hit wonders
I can't believe that anyone who who isn't a total clown would call De La Soul one hit wonders. They are one of the most important and influential hip hop groups of all time. Their music is groundbreaking, their lyrics are intelligent and thought-provoking, and they have inspired generations of artists.

De La Soul's debut album, 3 Feet High and Rising, is a masterpiece. It's a unique and innovative album that blends elements of hip hop, jazz, funk, and soul. The album was a critical and commercial success, and it helped to establish De La Soul as one of the leading voices in hip hop.

De La Soul continued to release groundbreaking albums throughout the 1990s, including De La Soul Is Dead, Buhloone Mindstate, and Stakes Is High. These albums were all praised for their creativity, originality, and social commentary.

De La Soul may not have had a major crossover hit single, but their influence on hip hop music is undeniable. They are one of the most important and respected groups in the genre, and their music continues to inspire and challenge listeners.

To say that De La Soul are one hit wonders is simply ignorant and disrespectful. They are one of the most innovative and influential hip hop groups of all time, and their music continues to have a profound impact on the genre.
That would have all made sense but then I remember you’re the guy that thinks Pink Floyd were terrible after Syd went nuts! :hihi:

Yah they say voTHotros instead of noSotros as one example. I love their style though. It's akin to British English versus Hollywood English. Hollywood is too stiff.

? ? ? wrote: Sun Sep 17, 2023 8:50 pm You know what De La Soul should have done? Learn proper grammar. In french, De La refers to feminine nouns. De Le refers to masculine nouns and is contracted to Du.
"Soul" in french would be a masculine word, donc, Du Soul as opposed to De La Soul.
And now what was it you said they accomplished musically? I already forgot.
And yet you let Mötley Crüe slide with the unpronounced umlauts and the "e" after a "ü." :dog:
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

For me they are neatly ordered. I don't mind the first 5 but everything after that is utter shite as far as I'm concerned. And Pink Floyd was always garbage.

The idea is simple, play all the worst most famous ear worm garbage that's come out. The fun part to me is absolutely everyone at some point likes some garbage music, so you would be ironically laughing at the band until some song you liked was played. :hihi:
This is an evil side of you I've not seen before. I like it.

That's because you've never heard this one -

As for the song I hate the most, there's really no contest, it's Come on Eileen by Dexy's Midnight Runners. I cannot describe to you how much I hate everything about that f**king song. It is turgid shit and I have to leave the room when it comes on.

The 80s were also the decade where nearly everyone who put out great stuff in the 70s put out crap.
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

It's Motley Crue. They bring good ole Rock N Roll to the masses. Let them spell however they like.
De la Soul talks mumbo jumbo over Parliament records. They don't deserve anything from me.

The best practical jokes are hardly discernible from reality. My band in the 80's, we all looked like we might be in Joy Division. One day three of us showed up for a gig with white dress shirts and darker pants, so we made the singer go back home and get a white dress shirt. We had a stolen American flag from some government office, just huge. The rest of the band wanted to hang it upside down, I insisted we hang it normally behind us so we look like some insane Mormon nationalist republican band. Which of course made no sense at all considering we're doing electro industrial like Front 242, Skinny Puppy etc. The audience was nicely confused.

I hate the whole internet troll thing for being so cheap and stupid, it's a far cry from Laibach doing a neo fascist sounding cover of Life is Life while living in soviet adjacent Yugoslavia under authoritarian communist rule, claiming to be the absolute best communists while calling their band Laibach which is what the nazis called Ljubljana during their occupation. That, is epic level trolling, absolutely brilliant, what we see people doing these days is just kid shit.

I'd throw in the Safety Dance as well, but there were so many terrible songs. .

Alien Sex Fiend were great! Definitely a Ramones element there, the new stuff I've heard sounds like their stuff from the 80's. At least they didn't get all polished and boring.
