I am using ample upright with MOTU digital performer. Even when I set my hardware buffer to 32 or 16 there is an unplayable delay before I hear a note. If I record with an acoustic bass midi sound on a hardware synth and then direct the midi track to the Ample Upright it plays fine. I'd like to use the Ample articulations.
I have other software instruments such as UVI pianos that play fine without latency.I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks
Ample upright is unplayable due to latency

All of their basses and guitars have a latency of about 50 milliseconds. Very annoying, but there is a workaround: In your DAW set the delay of the track to minus 50 ms.
Apparently this was by design. It was explained somewhere in this forum but I don't remember the details.
Ample Sound, would you care to explain the reason for this latency again? Or better still, provide an option to remove it?
