-you need to have an extra AA account for PS (I have)
-PS support cant tell which Kernel they oprate = no idea about performance etc.
and and and ...
so I`m asking users for practical experience (crickets on forums).
You would be the right one for me, combining retailer & user.
Can you say anything about cpu etc. compared to genuine AAs of your choice
(I have almost all).
OK, I tested the Sparkle Bundle against Water. Using Luna's meter as a gauge on my M2 Max, Prime Curve and Prime Mix don't register, and Prime Comp is about 1%. In comparison, Water with preamp off doesn't register and is 3% with preamp on. I was able to get Water and Prime Curve to sound pretty close to one another but Water can obviously do a lot more.

All three Sparkle Bundle plugins were updated in December 2023. Maybe that can give you an idea of what kernel they're using? I'll let you know when I hear back from them.
Ok, I get an idea where PS stands, thanks for your time & effort!

None of us can say for sure. However, I can tell you from personal experience dealing with these kinds of promotional freebies that most developers are super sensitive about giving out out more than 1 per person. This circumvents that goal.

I can imagine other scenarios where this is bad for developers but I don't have direct experience to back those up.

Uncle E wrote: Wed Feb 26, 2025 5:33 pm Let’s put the bot theory to rest. For example, in the most recent posts, we can see that the New Nation code was registered by a member and the Arturia codes required accounts to use.

Anyway, why not just try a separate thread and see how it goes?
Those who was frustrated before will still get frustrated after.
Bots will most likely be happier though.
On the upside...
Agree.
or how about those that dont get something for free just stop complaining and dreaming up conspiracy scenarios. This just takes away from the generosity that is on display by folks posting free serials.
I'm unclear, whom are you quoting/responding to, exactly?

I'm simply acknowledging @av_'s positive comment, and I've always thanked the code sharers.
Nothing was meant to call you out...sorry its not clearer. I just mean in general , the kerfuffle seems to come from people who miss out on a freebee. My intent was to say next time a person hits a code that was already used; instead of posting bot theories or forum changes ,just focus on the next time you'll have a chance.

I really don't get it. Must be really stupid.
If someone buys a product and gives me the free code that comes with this product and then I go and register it and use it, how is this bad for developers? What do they care? It's not piracy or something. If anything it's free promotion for them.
Can you please explain a bit? What scenarios that might be?

For example, suppose the hardware company pays a licensing fee to the software company for every hardware unit sold, except they don't pay on these units because they've been purchased under contract for war efforts and will not be used by musicians. I'm not saying this is true but it illustrates the kind of scenario where the software company would get damaged.

Anyway, I'm not trying to stop anyone from doing it, just pointing this out so we aren't making assumptions about what's happening.

Agh. Move on, for Ghod's sake. You've all beaten this poor dead horse until it's just a smear of blood and fur on the concrete.

Thank you. But I still don't get it. The main purpose of every company is to make money. Period. The software company is being paid by the hardware company. The hardware company is in turn being paid by the customer. Everyone's happy. How the product is used is really not their problem. (Even if it was, they have no way of knowing, if we are talking about the hardware anyway). And it shouldn't be. If I buy a guitar to say start a campfire, this is my right. No? Or I buy it to play, but I'm not a musician or just can't play, so I'm really just abusing it. Then what?
How can software company get damaged anyway? They got their money. Their product is activated and used by someone for music production. Cause you can't start a campfire with it anyway, or do anything else. What damage are we talking about?

I’m not saying you’re wrong, I’m saying you can’t assume you’re right. None of us know how the companies structured their deals or what their original intentions were.

Laws and ethics do not always go hand in hand. Can you take codes and distribute them? Yes, that is not against the law. Can the person who took them eventually sell them? Yes, that is not against the law either. In fact, all of these issues can be covered in an "official" manner. In this case, it is up to each person to define what is ethical for themselves.

Our friend, distributing codes that he received but will not use is one of the most useful and ethical things he could do, after all, they are there to be used to make music.

Obtaining them just to resell them would not be so ethical in my opinion and whoever does this should rethink, because it takes away from the original idea of the gift.

True, but it's not rocket science either. It's safe to say that original intentions of any business is to get profit. And we can also assume that if someone buys their product they get their profit. And so called "free" stuff is a part of the promotion strategy. If a person shares the code they don't need than it's really free for you. But businesses don't do that. So wether you get the code with your purchase or someone gave it to you it doesn't matter. At the very least when you register the software you're subscribing to their ads, and if you like the product you buy something else from them. More Profit. It's that simple.
Reselling the codes that someone shared is really unethical, but there's no damage to the software developer either way.

They have to be used before they tell the next person it's already used.
And at least some of them are known NFR companies.
Personally, some of these freebs I've acquired got me into buying more from a company that I had discounted as good but don't need products.
And I can't believe we're all still dancing this distraction...
