In a world that gets rougher we need to focus on things that matter. A small niche FX unit is not going to cut it - it likely costs more to bring it out than the revenue it produces.
I know it's quite far away but could you expand on what u-he's future plans on Diva? It was last updated back on Aug 27 2024 so I'm curious what improvements and fixes we should look forward to.
I would prefer not to offer anything that could be interpreted as a promise.

Let's just say, we have updated Diva numerous times over the past 10 years without adding any new analogue models of anything. We want to work towards updates that expand on the selection of models for both the synth part and the fx section.

The option to select a skin will only show up in the plugin once more than one skin is installed.
If the option doesn't show up, then the skin either isn't installed correctly, the publisher didn't create it correctly, or it's too old to be compatible.

I've done that, the instructions given to me require the appearance of 'default skin' which do not appear on any of the four versions of Diva I installed.

I uninstalled Diva completely, installed no skins, and the 'default skin' did not appear.

If you can't help me out there, then ok f**k it. 'Default skin' option will remain an elusive unicorn, fair enough. But that is the issue. No other putting this and that in 'panes' and 'support->' 'Themes' and so forth in any of the various tinkering around combinations suggested to me has worked.

Is there something in the registry maybe or a folder in some hidden place on the hard drive preventing the default skin from showing due to not being a clean unintall/reinstall of Diva? That's all I can think of at this point.

Please read what I wrote.
The default skin preference will only appear in the plugin if at least one additional theme is installed. If you do a fresh installation of Diva and you have no other theme installed, then of course the preference will not show up.

If the install instructions say that the preference is needed in order to install the theme, then those instructions are simply wrong.

Installing a third-party theme is a straight-forward process for the user. There is no tinkering with any files involved. You simply place the correct theme folder in the correct location and the next time you start your host and load the plugin, the new theme will be recognized and can be chosen from the now available default skin preference.

Please contact our support, so we can help you get this sorted out.

Why would I look for 'default skin' with no other skin installed? The whole point of these posts are to get access to different skins. It doesn't work. No 'default skin' appears under any condition.

I'll try support then I guess, thanks.

As per the quote, I did check if it showed up after a number of resinstalls to trouble shoot as many angles as possible. Obviously I'm not going to not install additional skins then come on here to complain that my new skins don't show up.

Alright, this has been a waste of all our times and I regret bringing it up here at all whatsoever. Maybe your support can help me, they're my last hope, time permitting.

Just reach out to support[at]u-he.com, we'll take a look, also easier to exchange screenshots that way.

The "default skin" is what you see when you first run diva.
After you install any other skin then you will find the default skin referenced as "red skin" along with whichever aftermarket skin you installed.
I would assume that the reason that your instuctions ask for a default skin is that it probably requires some of the original parts of the original skin as it doesn't totally replace every part. If you had another aftermarket skin installed and then tried to replace that skin with your new one it would possibly clash, with there being parts of both skins being used which could lead to all sorts of problems.

So, with a new install of diva, you find the Diva.data folder and then go to support\themes folder. If the folders don't exist, create them manually and put the relevant files as per what your installation instructions say.

Sorry, by some reason not see VST2 in v1.1.3 installer (Bazille)
Not a big deal though, but just wondering.
Was made some changes for installers since release notes was published perhaps (?)

Yes, we had to remove VST2 support from those installers.
They can still be found in the release archive.
Look for the ones with the “VST2_Legacy” label.
