How long did you guys have to wait?
The upgrade code doesn’t come via email. The authorization happens directly inside the plugin itself. Just open the plugin editor and follow the steps and links shown there. That’s where the upgrade process completes.
Its over for Bitwig--CUBASE WON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does it work on Win7, 8, 8.1?
(Even without support).
Or does it specifically kill those like Steinberg did?

Says Windows 10 or higher at the bottom of the v3 page :

I spent most of a weekend once rating my favourite sounds so may be a tad annoying having to go through that again.
That would be baaaaaaaaaad for me. I've thoroughly rated about 4000 presets.

Am I wrong in thinking the "18 new libraries" have legacy sounds in them? Somehow I thought we'd be getting 18 libraries of NEW recordings, but it seems like older sounds are mixed in these as well. Sorry if this has been answered previously in the past 33 pages lol

The Legacy Sounds are in the Legacy Folder. They have been "remastered" using the features and effects that are new in version 3 so while the names will be the same they are new and improved patches

Those will be used in with the new presets

Around 9,000 of the nearly 14,000 unique patches in the new categories are legacy ones - well over half. (And duplicates makes up the numbers to 26,000). These old patches have been "remastered", so will sound slightly different to be before (new fx etc). The original versions also exist in the legacy folders

Yes, I read that before asking here.
Hence why I asked it.

Well I can’t see any ratings/favourites on my install now so hope someone else can check to see if theirs got preserved or wiped.

Are you safe?

Bah, don't like them being advertised as 18 new libraries. I thought that meant 18 new libraries of new sound sources, not just recycled legacy presets.

fisherKing wrote: Mon Oct 20, 2025 4:06 pm v3 is a newer version of omnisphere, not an entirely different thing. seems reasonable that you can't sell your v2 license when you move to v3.
plus you've had 'almost 11 years' out of v2; i'd suggest you're getting your money's worth.
I'm referring to the last version you own after upgrading. Not v1 or v2 in this case.
If I upgade to v3, I would be at my second official paid upgrade and still not be able to pass the product to another person.
So you own version 1 and got a paid upgrade to 2 at a deep discount which requires you to be an owner of 1. Since your upgraded version 2 required you to own version 1 any upgrades tied to version 3 for two also requires you to own version one

It's really not that hard any ownership of an Upgrade requires a base product that was not an upgrade
I think you are misunderstanding. The poster is saying that they cannot sell e.g Omnisphere 3 (or 5 or 300) not that they want to sell V1 when they upgraded to V2 or V2 when upgrading to 3.
Basically you are forever tarred with a 'you bought this second hand so you have lesser privileges than someone who bought it new. But that is the case with NFR. NFR usually means forever.

Now e.g. VSL allow you to buy a second hand license and then you get treated with all the bells and whistles as if you bought it off them. But there is a hefty fee to pay for this. Does Spectrasonics charge a fee? I don't know.
Even so I think it should be made clear as clear can be by the seller that NFR means NFR forever.

My patch list is turning into a genetic experiment gone wrong. Hundreds of slightly mutated presets piling up. I love the feature, but I’d rather decide what to keep instead of having Omnisphere hoard every offspring it creates.

I tried deleting them manually from the User folder, but the next time I opened Omni, they were still there. Anyone figured out a fix for that?
Hmm. This looks great for sure! But in this way it's really annoying.. maybe try to ask Specrasonics about this thing? It's great future request BTW. Because you need to save only which you like. It's more logical
It's easy if you find one(s) you like and want to save, just save it as a named preset the normal way

All of the mutations are saved automatically in a named "mutation" folder inside of your Steam Folder. Treat that like a temporary asset folder

I created a shortcut to that folder in my desktop. Then at the end of the session when I have saved the ones I wanted and closed out Omnisphere, I can easily go in and just delete the entirety of the contents of that folder. Just select all, right click, select delete and it's gone

I am sure Spectrasonics will eventually figure out a more elegant solution but this way works really well
But why would they not simply allow deleting from the mutations list. Right-click -> Delete?

Download and install went smoothly. One gripe - Why is the trackpad scroll still backwards like all the old synths, like OG Massive and one or two other synths that are still alive. 98% have reversed the scroll direction to be in line with the "natural scrolling" on mac. So if you use a scroll reverser, scrolling the presets list goes backwards from what you're used to. Argh, I wish they would do what everyone else is doing. Annoying to have to use scroll reverser for some plugins.

That’ll get fixed years from now and sounds super annoying, for such an important new feature and one which relies on trial and error you should be able to remove them from inside the UI.

Have no idea but even if they did just deleting the entire contents of a folder is significantly faster and easier than individually deleting patches one by one

I can see my self making rather heavy use of the mutator feature as a starting off point for further exploring like an enhanced INIT patch

I have no problem doing it this way, and even if they come out with a different way will probably still do this
