Absolutely mate... Well said, what a debacle this has turned out to be.murnau wrote:You have to follow their "logic". With every small 0.1 update the price increase for 6.4 owners. If you bought the update when it was from 6.4 to 6.5 it been 19€. Now from 6.4 to 6.6 it's 29€ (doesn't matter that from 6.5 to 6.6 is free). Makes sense?aMUSEd wrote:So the goal posts have shifted again. If people had known this more would have bought the 6.5 update, not with every little addition it gets more expensive (even though these are not even supposedly 'paid' updates). At least put updates on sale in a fair way this time to make up for this (ie last time updates went on 'sale' the price of them went up first so it was no sale at all).![]()
About the new turn that 6.x (now even 6.5 users probably) will not get a free 7 update: For me that was clear right from the start. This dev had a serious problem. He should stop talking rubbish to his customers.

I was the same... I've been using it for quite a few years now - it's a good synth. Then the dubious upgrades started to appear which offered very little value to the loyal customer. I'll never upgrade it again on principal.surreal wrote: So has this now changed from your last post?when I initially purchased discovery pro I thought it was cool, but with your wonky way of doing stuff I have just decided to never bother about upgrading my Discovery Pro.... maybe sound business sense and customer support and proper upgrade path and notmaking your current customer base not feel milked or conned then everything might just bring you credibility and you might find that us as your current customer will actually help you promote your products
And let us not forget the 'disappearing' installers. Another nice little bonus for us.
