Rackmode Vocoder fx, can someone help?

I have no idea how to use this and cannot see anything in the user guide or youtube video that adequaately explains. I'm completely lost, please help. Thanks

According to the video, the FX version has the carrier signal (the one that gets modified) coming in from the audio on the channel its on, and the modulator signal (the one that controls how the vocoder modifies the carrier) coming in via whatever sidechain your DAW has.
The specifics of the audio channel and sidechain setup would be dependent on your DAW, which you didnt mention.
