I have a matrix with two kick sounds in 1 column
Y source is mod wheel, as I want to switch between the 2 sounds.
When I click directly on the cells, both samples sound normal.
Triggering with MIDI the lower sample sounds normal, the upper sounds like a double trigger with some kind of echo and phasing.
What do I do wrong?

Update: I erased the Reaper project and made the same thing from scratch. This time I inserted the samples directly into the matrix editor not first creating regions, which I had done in previous attempt. (But I'm sure I had deleted the regions before mapping the matrix)
Also I set the root override in the wave editor not in the matrix editor, where they eventually showed up then.
This time everything behaved like it should.
