Uprights & EPs

Uprights and EPs is a stack of 11 of our favorite vintage electric and upright pianos. We hammered the strings, we added felt to the upright, we put overhead mics on electric keys, we left one piano a little out of tune, and we even sampled the chorus on one of our favorite old keyboard synths. Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer 200A, Yamaha CP 70-B & CP-30, and more. Real instruments in real spaces with all the functionality of a synthesizer with full effects.

When we were on the road, we missed all those old keyboards and real pianos that were sitting back in the studio, collecting dust. We decided it was time to put all our favorite piano sounds in one place, Uprights and EPs.

Vintage keys, uprights, tube preamps, ribbon mics, large diaphragm condenser mics, and a few special overhead mic and felt techniques later, we developed a product that contains 11 of our favorite sounds, sampled on every single note, at 3-5 unique velocities.

Uprights and EPs was created by artists to use on their own projects, for artists, so it's tailor made to maximize your creative potential.

TECH SPECS:

• 4 Plugin Types: AU, AAX, VST3, and standalone app, compatible with all major DAWs. (Not currently supported by Garageband.).
• 11 Sampled Classic electric pianos, Uprights, and Felted Upright Grand (at 2-5 unique velocities).
• 3,004 samples – disk space required about 1.9GB.
• Onboard Mixing faders for all Instruments.
