Voice of Rapture: The Tenor

Voice Of Rapture: The Tenor by Soundiron is an advanced solo operatic tenor vocal library for Kontakt that features both multi-sampled chromatic content and tempo-synching live performance phrases in a full range of keys.

Designed as a companion to the Voice of Rapture: The Soprano library, the Tenor was recorded with professional tenor Brian Thorsett in a dry studio environment. This library features a wide range of fully playable chromatic content, including 3 True Legato vowel sustains: Ah (F) w/vibrato, Ah (p) w/o vibrato and Oo (p), all with infinite sustain, natural release, 3-voice polyphonic support and plenty of fine-tuning parameters. Soft piano (without vibrato) and loud forte (with vibrato) sustains are included for Ah, Ee. There are also 23 poly-syllabic staccatos and a dozen Latin sustaining chants, all with with tempo-syncing, time-stretching, and synchronized legato.

The improvised live performance phrases cover the keys of A#, C, D, E, F# and G# and feature full tempo-syncing and time-stretching capabilities. There are four categories of phrases: Latin (Based on the Angelic Salutation), French (based on a poem by René-François Sully-Prudhomme), vowel and a special selection of humming phrases. All phrases can be used in our advanced Phrase Sequencer which allows per-step start and end markers as well as pitch transposition.

There is also a range of vocal effects ranging from breaths to whisper sustains and more. As always, included is a large set of bonus ambiences, drones, atmospheres, vocoded effects and leads based on the raw source material that has been contorted with the help of special effects and custom sound design techniques.

All articulations were recorded with two different microphones, a cardioid and a condenser, each with independent volume and panning. The custom user interface offers the ability to reshape samples in real-time with attack, start and end offset, dynamic and release shaping, legato blending and more. It also features a comprehensive FX Rack panel, with chorus, delay, distortion, compression, EQ, amp/speaker simulation and convolution reverb. The reverb effect includes 70 different rooms, halls, cathedrals and otherworldly fx impulses easily available right through the interface.

This library requires the full retail version of Kontakt version 5.1 or later. This is a standard open format library, so all wav samples are accessible and editable. This product is not supported by the free Kontakt Player or special Libraries rack area.
