Blue Cat Audio has released an update for Blue Cat's Connector, their universal connection plug-in that can be used to route audio and MIDI almost anywhere "in the box" and across networks.
The free update improves the algorithm used for automatic resampling and drift compensation, includes a couple of user interface improvements as well as other important fixes (details below). The plug-in has also been tested and validated for online jamming, and a detailed tutorial has been published to setup the connection between remote locations.
New in Blue Cat's Connector 1.12:
- Improved resampling and drift compensation when the plug-in starts streaming audio.
- The plug-in now reports when more than 100 dropouts occurred.
- Improved user interface meters refresh performance.
- The plug-in has now been tested for long distance communication and online jamming. More information and setup instructions can be found here.
- Fixed VST3 MIDI input not detected by Ableton Live 11.
Price: $49. The upgrade is free for existing users.
