borth audio releases Grate Bass and Grate Bass Lite for Kontakt and updates Grate Piano, Gamble Kid and Sticky Rain
borth audio has announced the release of two new Kontakt Instruments, Grate Bass and Grate Bass Lite, plus updates for Grate Piano, Gamble Kid and Sticky Rain.
Grate Bass ($29): Usual and unusual scratchy sounds from an electric bass played with a pick. The output of the bass was recorded using a DI and in addition a large diaphragm condenser microphone was pointed 30 cm above the neck to record the scratchy pick sounds separately.
Features:
- Five playing styles from normal to scratchy picking and playing with a piece of paper stuck between strings.
- Separate volume control for DI and Mic signal.
- Effects: Distortion, Bass Amp Simulation (4×10), Reverb, Chorus, Lo-Fi, Tremolo and Vibrato.
- Total number of samples: 1,980 (@44.1 kHz/24-bit, mono).

Grate Bass Lite (Free): Grate Bass Lite is the free version of Grate Bass featuring:

- Total number of samples: 792 (@44.1 kHz/24-bit, mono).

Grate Bass and Grate Bass Lite requires the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt 5.4 or above.
Free Updates: borth audio's instruments Grate Piano, Gamble Kid and Sticky Rain have been updated to version 1.1, fixing a few minor bugs.
