Gothic Instruments has released the fourth module in their series of Kontakt sound design tools – DRONAR Dark Synthesis, which is described as "Twisted, Bold, Supernatural, Disturbing, Industrial, Ethereal, Dark, Ambient..."
Gothic Instruments say DRONAR Dark Synthesis is perfect for Retro Electro/Synthwave musical styles, offering "an abundance of luxurious complex cinematic sound design layers for you to sculpt and shape to the needs of your project". Think 'Stranger Things', 'BladeRunner' and Cliff Martinez's 'Drive' score.
These dark and eerie synthetic textures have been created by combining strange synth waveforms with complex processed real world recordings crafted by sound designer and synthesis enthusiast Adam Pietruszko and Hollywood movie trailer Sound Designer Alessandro Camnasio.
The result is a palette of professional-grade sounds unlike those found in any other DRONAR module released to date.
How It Works
DRONAR automatically spreads out the chord in the mid-range, adds a root bass note, a high note and then adds evolving sound effects. 8 simultaneous different sounds are then animated with LFOs, a rhythm sequencer and arpeggiators to bring them to life for a result that is rich and dramatic.
Such simple actions free up your spare hand to expressively control the dials and record the changes as a performance in your DAW. DRONAR instantly adds low, mid-range and high sounds plus sound effects, so you barely need any other sounds to quickly create a complete piece of atmospheric, expressive music.
DRONAR Dark Synthesis is available to buy now at the special introductory price of £47.96 until 27th June. If you already own a DRONAR title you can use your 20% loyalty discount code to double your discount and save 40%.
