KissBox announces activation of Zeroconf service in all their RTP-MIDI compatible products
KissBox has released new version of the RTP-MIDI firmwares for the MIDI2TR and RTPMIDI-OEM modules which includes complete support of Zeroconf service.
Zeroconf is a standard protocol which allows any IP system to get an address without needing to configure a DHCP server. Combined with Bonjour service, it allows these RTP-MIDI modules to become fully plug&play.
The new firmwares support three addressing modes:
- Static IP address allocation.
- DHCP address allocation.
- Zeroconf address allocation.
The user is then able to choose the best solution for his setup, depending on its complexity.
