Korg has announced the Multi/Poly Module, a rackmountable analogue modeling synthesizer along with a software version of the same instrument.
The multi/poly module is a 19" rackmountable version of the multi/poly keyboard synthesizer. It has the same controls as the keyboard version, but in a compact form factor that fits neatly into any studio or desktop production system.
Inspired by the legendary Korg Mono/Poly, the new multi/poly analogue modelling synthesizer delivers analogue sounds combined with digital power and flexibility. With support for MIDI 2.0 property exchange and poly aftertouch, the module is an excellent companion to Korg's Keystage controller. It's also fully compatible with programs from the multi/poly native software, as well as an increasing number of third-party libraries. The new 19" rackmountable enclosure has the same controls as the keyed model, yet is easily transportable and fits neatly into any studio or desktop production system.

- Kaoss Physics for interactive, hands-on modulation.
- Over 5,500 modulation destinations.
- Three studio-quality insert effects per layer, plus master reverb and parametric EQ.
- Built-in Editor/Librarian software for macOS and Windows with real-time modulation visuals.
- Full connectivity via balanced stereo outputs, MIDI, and USB.
Native Software Version
The Multi/Poly Native plugin is a fully-compatible software counterpart to the hardware synthesizer. Multi/Poly Native is available in VST3, AAX, and standalone formats on both macOS and Windows, as well as AU on macOS. You can seamlessly exchange sounds between hardware and software. Users can produce in your DAW with multi/poly native, and then play the same sounds on stage using the multi/poly hardware or create sounds with the hardware's hands-on interface, and then share them with a computer-based collaborator.
Pricing and Availability
Official release dates for Multi/Poly Native and Korg Multi/Poly Module were not available at the time of writing. The module is expected to cost $849.99 and the software $199.00 with crossgrade options for hardware owners from $49.99.
