Korg releases ARP ODYSSEi for iPad and iPhone

Korg has announced the release of ARP ODYSSEi, a software recreation of the legendary ARP sound for iPad and iPhone. It's now available in the App Store priced at $19.99 (that's 33% off until November 30th, 2016).

The ARP Odyssey, developed in the 1970s, has achieved a legendary status as one of the most legendary of classic analog synthesizers. In 2015, KORG produced the ARP Odyssey, a reproduction of each of the three original Odysseys. Now the legendary ARP sound has been reproduced in iOS software as the ARP ODYSSEi.

Based on the revived ARP Odyssey, Korg used proprietary CMT (Component Modeling Technology) to reproduce the analog feeling and sound of the original as closely as possible. They've also given it numerous enhancements that are possible only with software, such as the often requested polyphony and built-in effects.

ARP ODYSSEi lets you instantly switch between the designs of the three types of ARP Odyssey that differed by production date and filter configuration. As paid for options, you can also choose the white-paneled Rev1 or the black-paneled gold silk-screened Rev2 designs, together with fifty new preset sounds that take advantage of the distinctive filters of those models*.

Price: $29.99 ($19.99 intro pricing until the end of November).

* Available for purchase within the ARP ODYSSEi app.
