Modalics have announced the release of their first plugin, Beat Scholar, a unique rhythm composition system, developed to make deep and interesting grooves accessible in a few clicks.
Beat Scholar gives you freedom to create drum fills, linear grooves and place them anywhere whilst keeping you in musical context, encouraging experimentation and innovation.
Beats can be divided into up to 42 slices and can combine multiple drum strikes on the same beat. Over 250 carefully samples, from classic drum machine sounds to hand-made synthesized drums are included and the sampler allows for custom drum sounds to be easily loaded via drag and drop. Beat Scholar includes an easy MIDI export function and also transmits MIDI that can be used to drive external hardware drum machines as well.
