Orchestral Tools

Orchestral Tools has announced that the Berlin Harpsichords collection is now available on SINE for the very first time. To celebrate the release, Orchestral Tools has twinned Berlin Harpsichords with their period instruments collection Miroire to create the Baroque Bundle as a toolkit for baroque and renaissance styles, and any contemporary interpretations of the era.

The Baroque Bundle is available for an intro offer price of €299 (regular price €429) until September 5, 2023. For more information, please click here.

The Berlin Harpsichords are a natural complement to the Miroire collection and will give any composer a completely authentic palette of sounds from baroque and renaissance music—these collections are our contemporary take on one of our favorite eras of music. We're pleased to offer this bundle and welcome Berlin Harpsichords to SINE.

Orchestral Tools CEO Hendrik Schwarzer

Here's what they saying:

An essential sonic signature of renaissance and baroque music, the sound of the Harpsichord immediately evokes the era in a way that few other instruments do. Berlin Harpsichords taps into this with the rich sounds of two traditional harpsichords—French and Italian—recorded in multiple different registers apiece with a variety of playing styles to offer the widest possible flexibility in sound for both vintage-minded and modern musical contexts. As with all of Orchestral Tools' flagship Berlin-series instruments, both of the instruments in Berlin Harpsichords were recorded at the Teldex Scoring Stage ensuring seamless integration with all other Orchestral Tools collections. In addition to being available within the Baroque Bundle, Berlin Harpsichords is also available on SINE for an introductory offer of €79 (reg. €99.).

Orchestral Tools' Miroire is a contemporary interpretation of 18th century musical traditions. These include baroque strings, played on a mix of modern and antique instruments, and using gut strings and period bows for a warm, period-correct tonality. It also includes five solo woodwind instruments—including Baroque flute and oboe, oboe d'amore, and oboe de caccia, four valveless trumpet and horn instruments, and a basso continuo section—with double bass, two celli, and bassoon. Miroire's baroque choirs offer the perfect vocal complement to the period instruments with distinct male and female sections. Adding to the authenticity of the collection, all voices and instruments were recorded at A4=415 Hz to retain a period-correct tonal richness, but mapped a half step lower to provide full compatibility with modern tuning. As part of the Baroque Bundle offer, present owners of Miroire will receive Berlin Harpsichords for free.
