Raising Jake Studios

Raising Jake Studios has updated SideMinder ME, the MultiBand Mastering Edition of the SideMinder Dynamic Stereo Width Maximizer plug-in, to version 1.1.0 for macOS and Windows.

The update fixes an intermittent bug that sometimes caused static to be heard rather than the source signal. The update also includes AAX support for Pro Tools.

SideMinder ME can increase (or decrease) the stereo width of a track, bus and/or master mix while automatically preventing over-widening and negative correlation that can cause signal loss when mixed or played in mono.

SideMinder ME includes up to 3 bands of stereo Width Enhancement ranging from mono up to 200% width increase and a Bass Narrow control that reduces the stereo width below the selected cutoff frequency (especially important when mastering for vinyl).

The most important and unique features of SideMinder ME are the Stereo Width Limiters. These limiters use latency-compensated look ahead correlation detectors that "listen to" the stereo signal and precisely and rapidly turn down the stereo width when the signal approaches negative correlation. Additional stages of filtering control the recovery speed of the width limiting action which is adjustable via the Speed control. An output correlation meter displays the output signal correlation allowing before/after effects of the limiter to be observed while the Mono/Stereo and Normal/Delta buttons can be engaged to quickly audition SideMinder ME's action.

SideMinder ME can be used as an audio processing tool to automatically increase and control stereo width or it can be used as a visualization/metering tool to help make better mix decisions.

Price: $39.95. Existing customers can get the update for free using their purchase download link.
