Scuffham updates S-Gear to v3.0.3 - Pro Tools Apple Silicon Native Support and Holiday Discount
Scuffham has updated the S-Gear v3.0.3 Mac build to include a native Apple Silicon AAX plug-in for Pro Tools. This means that all S-Gear v3 components for Mac are now built as Universal 2 Binaries for both Intel and Apple Silicon systems. Here's what they say:
We have been testing S-Gear with the latest release of macOS (Ventura), and largely, things are looking good. We've noticed some graphical UI anomalies that will be corrected in the next release of S-Gear. For the time being we put S-Gear v3 at Beta support for Ventura whilst further testing is carried out. If you are running Ventura and would like to report any problems, please contact us via the website support page.
This summer we released S-Gear v3.0 with the new virtual pedal board and Drive thru pedal. Since then, much of our development time has been dedicated to new pedals, and in particular, a compressor pedal which will bring another degree of flexibility to the sounds available from S-Gear. Development of compressor algorithms is an area that can consume a lot of time, much like guitar amp design, there are always new approaches to try and potential improvements to make. The design of the S-Gear compressor pedal draws from some of the most popular vintage gear, to provide a device that sounds beautiful with guitar and is easy to use. I'm very happy with the results achieved and look forward to bringing you the v3.1 release very soon, this will be a free upgrade for those already on v3.0.
