Sjoerd van Kreel has updated the free Firefly Synth to version 1.9.1.
The changelog includes:
- UI updates: tried to give firefly a more modern look & feel. Also CPU usage and output gain are now meters instead of text. The new look comes with 2 themes, customized old themes will not work anymore.
- More modulation visualization: every graph now responds to the actual state of the audio engine. For example if you apply an LFO to filter frequency, the graph will animate and reflect what the engine is doing. Since this is quite CPU expensive there's also an option to back down on the animations.
- More modulation targets: global unison osc phase, osc detune, and stereo spread.
- Bugfix: only 20 out of 30 available routes were processed for the CV-to-audio-matrix.
- Breaking change: BPM/MIDI/automation smoothing, microtuning mode, and selected preset are now saved per-plugin-instance instead of per-patch. Old values are not preserved.
- Bugfix + breaking change: portamento would glide from last note instead of current position.
