NAMM 2026Solid State Logic Releases autoSeries Plug-ins - SSL Modeling Meets sonible AI

Solid State Logic has announced the release of the autoSeries, a new family of plug-ins developed in partnership with AI audio processing developer sonible. The range includes autoEQ, autoDYN, and autoBUS. These tools combine SSL's emulation of the 4000 Series console architectures with sonible's machine learning technology for source-based audio analysis.

The autoSeries plug-ins feature native AI-assisted analysis designed to streamline the setup process for equalization and dynamics. Each plug-in analyzes the spectral and dynamic characteristics of the source audio, suggests adaptive profiles with style-matched settings, and delivers editable processing parameters. This allows users to establish a starting point based on the specific instrument or genre being processed.

autoEQ

Modeled on the SSL 4K E channel strip, autoEQ applies the 4000 E console EQ curves to the source material. It utilizes sonible's analysis to detect source characteristics and recommend specific EQ adjustments:

• Authentic Processing: 4000 E console-accurate EQ curves derived from the SL 4000 E channel strip.

• AI Analysis: Detects source characteristics to recommend frequency adjustments.

• Adaptive Profiles: Users can select instrument or genre profiles for immediate starting points.

autoDYN

This plug-in models the SSL 4K E console channel strip Compressor/Limiter and Gate/Expander. Like the rest of the series, it offers adaptive profile-based settings. It covers compression, gating, and expansion duties, with AI assistance tailored to sources such as kick, snare, vocals, bass, or guitars:

• Console Modeling: Dynamics processing derived from the SL 4000 E channel strip.

• Intelligent Recommendations: Suggests compressor, gate, and expander settings based on the input signal.

• Context-Sensitive: Learn capabilities tailored to specific instruments.

• Integration: Designed to work alongside autoEQ and autoBUS for consistent processing across tracks.

autoBUS

Based on the Bus Compressor from the SSL 4000 G console, autoBUS targets mix bus and subgroup processing. It analyzes the audio to present settings appropriate for the specific genre or bus type (Full Mix, Vocal, Guitar, Drum):

• Bus Compression: Dynamics behavior derived from the SSL 4000 G Bus Compressor.

• Source Analysis: Recommends optimal bus compression settings based on the detected signal.

• Group Processing: Includes starting points for instrument groups and master mix compression.
