Twiddle Coding has released an update for Mindful Harmony. Here's what's new:

MIDI Input/Output (Experimental)

You've asked, and we've listened—Mindful Harmony now supports MIDI input and output. Connect your MIDI keyboard to trigger chords in your compositions or output chords to external synthesizers or a DAW. Activate this feature via the MIDI menu, where you can select input/output devices.

Altered Dominant Chords

We've enhanced the Tonicization section to include altered dominant chords derived from the Super Locrian scale (Altered Scale). These chords, featuring tones like ♭9, ♯9, ♭5/♯11, and ♯5/♭13, are commonly used in jazz-inspired music to create tension and anticipation. You'll find them under "ii/x V/x" and "IV/x V/x" in the Tonicization section, organized from least to most tension. These chords are ideal for resolving into minor or major chords, offering a wealth of creative possibilities.

Fully Diminished Seventh Pivot Chords

Explore new modulation possibilities with diminished seventh pivot chords. These symmetrical chords can act as viiº or secondary leading-tone chords in multiple keys, allowing seamless modulation to any of the 12 keys. This feature is perfect for adding variety and sophistication to your compositions.

Workflow Enhancements

Duplicate Songs: Quickly duplicate any song in your library for easier experimentation.

Copy/Paste Chords: Copy chords within or across songs using the context menu, making chord management effortless.

Note Filter

Complement your melodies with the new Note Filter tool. Filter available chords by selecting specific notes from a virtual keyboard in the chord selector. The updated list will only display chords that include your chosen notes, helping you find the perfect match faster.

Transposition

Transposing songs is now easier than ever. Use the +/- buttons to transpose an entire composition by semitones or shift selected chords. Experiment with modulation techniques like raising tension through the circle of fifths or creating dynamic bridges that take your listeners on a journey.
